This is such a misconception. Security guards don't have time to tell people not to bring food in. In the UK youre allowed to bring it everything except alcohol and hot food.

I know that’s how theaters make their money but if it wasn’t so overpriced more people would buy from them. If there’s a dollar tree 2min from the theater &. other good places, I’m getting whatever is a better price🤣.

Tbh the smartest thing to do is buy stuff at the movie or get a popcorn box, hide a burger at the bottom, cover it in popcorn or a popcorn picture :p
