looking to build a shed. been working on my stuff outside the last 5 years and im sick of it. How does that bike lift work? what do you use if you want to lif the bike and work on the front end? ie forks or changing front tyre etc? you tying the bike of that beam above on the roof?

I've been that soldier, worked on my bikes in the driveway for years, in the cold & wet, no fun. There's a foot pedal to manually raise the lift, you keep pumping until he bike is at the height you want & when you're finished, another pedal to release the pressure & lower the lift back down, it's brilliant. For front end work, I remove the wheel chock assembly & use a front end stand that lifts the bike by the headstock 👍

@@TrooperTed Any recomendations on a lift? im seeing them for 1k+, seems a bit pricy to me!

@@eddmelter1012 mine is the manual foot lever type that can lift up to 450kg, they're currently €650-€700 from a quick look online but keep on eye on 2nd hand websites like DoneDeal or FB Marketplace and you'll pick one up cheaper 👍

Hi Tony, that Niken from the review video I posted in 2019 was on loan to me so I could write an article for a bike magazine and shoot the review video you saw. I was recently offered a very low mileage Niken at a keen price, but I don't think I'll get it down the side of my new house, so I need to break out the measuring tape to confirm as I'd happily use one for commuting/winter bike duty if I could make it work.

@@tonywilliamson4512 If at all possible, get a test ride on a Nikon, and do it in the wet, you'll be amazed at the grip from the front end
