Every country has their ceremony, but with the UK still incorporating their mounted horses and traditional uniforms, they really honour and display their splendid history. I just love seeing the Royal Guard on horseback.

William, Anne and Edward were relaxed and riding with loose reins. Calm riders, calm horses. Poor Charles looked a bit tense, rode with short restrictive reins, and hence his mount Noble was not relaxed. Charles is an extremely experienced horseman, but I think his nerves went down those reins today!

Wonderful ! I have seen trooping the colour several times while living in England and I wish I could have been There.Absolutely spectacular. The first beautiful thing I have seen for weeks after all the bad news.I admire Great Britain for holding on to such a great tradition in a changing and very unpleasant world.God save the King and greeting to you all.

I agree ...I love our traditions but unfortunately there are so many younger people who vote to abolish the Monarchy and would prefer a Republican country! I find that sad because we are pretty unique ..many tourists come to the uk because of the Monarchy and the pomp and the history...being an republican country the tourists will not visit like they do now! ..if there ever was a referendum I fear that we would lose our Monarchy ...many think it will be a better country but I disagree I think it will ruin this great place and take away the future of them traditions that would become part of the history! Let's hope that never happens! ..🙏❤

I agree with you. Was the queen on horse back in her early 90s? Not many if not virtually none of people in there 70s etc wouldn't dream off being on hours back. But the royal family seem fierce in so many way, this being one of them.

Most days she attends 2 or 3 engagements, representing the United Kingdom with intelligence, humility and diplomacy. Take a look at the list of patronages she holds. She is deeply involved and represents every one of them with knowledge and sincerity. You will never know the amount of dedication that requires.

Nope, I've had enough guards in red uniforms and giant bearskin hats to last an eternity thanks. Really feel for the horses sticking this boring nonsense out, it's the wrong time of year, too hot, and frankly looks totally outdated with echoes of Edwardian children riding in carriages waving to the tourists. Much like Will and Kate's tour in the back of a landrover in Jamaica, this needs rethinking.

Noble was definitely on her toes as we say bless her. She was calm until the music picked up and she just wanted to go but King Charles sat her quietly and calmly. I loved the way he kept gently patting her neck to let her know she was doing OK. She is going to be a very fine mount for him with experience in future parades. ❤

The pageantry no other country comes close to doing it like UK. I love to watch anything related to this. The precisions in the marching etc whether on foot or on horse is so striking NO OTHER comes close to them

Trooping the Colour is always a stirring & spectacular event , love it. Great to see the thick crowds up & down the Mall enjoying the parade . The balcony certainly misses Queen Elizabeth and the family bravely & staunchly carry on as best they can and have my respect & admiration for their sincere efforts . The King especially should be admired for his dedication to the traditions .. to ride horseback up & down the mall at 74 with a very bad back is remarkable . I wish the king well ,I wish for him to succeed in his reign and prefer to send out positive vibes on his behalf . We all benefit from a successful monarchy, not many benefit from constantly negative critiques . 🇨🇦

@@kdown3660 Something like that. Here's a fact , rumors say that The Original "God save the King" was originally from France (not stolen but inspired) When France used to be a Monarchy. When the French had Rois et Reines. Another fun fact, if you look closely the British Coat of Arms, it says : "Dieu et mon Droit" a French catchphrase

Fabulous traditions & pageantry. I can see why England will never abolish the Royal establishment. It is such a tourist destination (who doesn't love all the regal elegance of Kings, Queens, Princes, etc?) It's like a real-life fairy tale! I, for one love it & dream of going there once in my lifetime! ❤

Just a shame the cameraman forgot to focus on the King! The royals on horseback were cut out a lot of the time, so we missed a lot of the salutes. He kept zooming in on the kiosk!

The camera work was confusing. I’m wondering if the King’s horse was even wilder than we saw and the producers were trying to be respectful.

It would have helped me if they had a commentator stating who was who, because other than William and Anne, I couldn’t tell any of the horse riders apart. Or - they could have written it on the screen as they often do. I did love the whole thing though, the precision and timing of the marching and procession was simply amazing.

Wish I had been born in UK. Not proud of being French. I gotta say, what a outstanding performance/parade from the British Grenadiers Guards 💂despite the heatwaves. Always there and remain loyal the Royal Family. Such devotion. Seing William and Catherine acknoleadging and promoting local community gives me a big on my face God save the King Charles and it's Monarchy. And Long live the British 🇬🇧🟥👑. I guess "Dieu et mon Droit" (Royal Coat of Arms) Our French Monarchy is far long gone due to countless Revolutions. What a pity ❌⬜🟦⚜️🟦⬜❌😞 As the result of that, you can freely walk around "le Château de Versailles" and other castles scattered across France like "Chambord". No longer revelant. But the House of Bourbons, Orlans and Bonapartist are still alive

Revolutions turn a country upside down. It makes everyone question everything and is very destabilizing to every citizen’s life. Lived through one as a teenager and I have always thought there must be a better way to resolve social conflicts. That experience still haunts me in my 5th decade of life.
