It’s not a personality trait but (especially between the ages of 18-25) it’s definitely an indicator of an open minded and non-judgemental person in my experience. I don’t smoke weed anymore (just didn’t like the way it was affecting my ability to work, but that’s more a personal thing coz I know people who work very hard and smoke) but I did till I was 20 and finding out someone was a stoner was always a good indicator into the sort of person they were and it was a good thing to connect over.
