Way to go handling the adversity and congrats on your well earned limit. If you have space in your boat, consider adding a second cranking/starting battery with a perko switch. The folk at Gone Fishin Marine did that for me a few years ago, upping my peace of mind for every outing since.

Hi aProudOG, thanks for your comment. Yeah, the guys at Gone Fishin' had the same idea to add a second battery, but no room in the aft compartment and forward compartment has two deep cycles for the trolling motor, no room. So I now keep my battery on a trickle charger and I got a NOCO jump box just in case, lesson learned. Good luck out there!

Nice work. I was out there with you that day. It was best you waited anyways. My bite did not turn on until 12 anyway. Nice to see someone else using FHS gear and tactics.

Great catches! Was there earlier that day as well! What depth and set back were you using with the leadcore? Were you going about 3mph?

Hi Connor, thanks for watching and commenting. 180ft+ set back, three colors lead core with about 60ft mono top shot, 3-4ft 10lb flouro leader, smallest double snap I can actually operate to attach spoon, no flashers. I estimate about 10ft trolling depth, varying my speeds from 2.8 to 3.2mph. Scented the spoon with Procure Trophy Trout scent. Checked my spoons about every 15mins for debris and to add more scent. Zig zagged, S turned, changed directions, chanted to the fish Gods, thoughts only positive thoughts, visualized and basically willed the fish to bite, LoL Hope that helps!
