Rhonda Fleming is so beautiful and gorgeous and she is a great actress
@wendybutler1681 Жыл бұрын
I started this to lull me off to sleep. I sat up and watched the whole thing. For once in a film like this, the lovely ball of fire that plays the dancer can really dance. And sing. And act! I make the mistake of looking up the players before the film ends very often to find tragedy. The rest of the film is then bittersweet. This was a good film. From when characters and plot still mattered. Everybody just seemed so natural in their roles. Reagan was a damn fine actor. Fleming not afraid to look like she'd put in a day's hard labor in the heat and humidity (and somehow still be radiant under the dirt and grime. Not makeup artistry, either. It's all from within her.).

Rhonda Fleming for me the most beautiful of actresses. Known as the Queen of technicolour. Stunning beauty.

Maureen O'Hara must be up there too for the same reasons: Beautiful red hair and blue eyes besides all those other gorgeous feminine attributes! She was born for Technicolor, too.

I wasn't prepared to enjoy this movie as much as I did! Good story, good plot and good acting, and pretty too! I learned a lot about banana plantations in an interesting way. I had forgotten that Ronald Reagan was a fine actor.

I've read a lot of historical novels and gleaned so much knowledge from them! About clothing, hygiene, homes, foods and kitchen practices, etc. Along with some history, of course! I watch these old films (or new period pieces) and pick up all kinds of stuff, too. Bit of a historical fashion buff. The clothes, decor and cars in the contemporary films in the 30s and 40s are like eye candy to me.
