I’ve found sometimes that specific exports(tobacco for example) may not ship out because teamsters send the goods to the cigar factory not the dock. You can cancel the trade and take the hit. It’s worth it over not making money. Your power grid might be maxed out… the plant with tell net power and you use substations to expand the grid.

Okay so check this out, first make sure the budget for the Docks is maxed to increase efficiency, also keep in mind there are some times in the economy when exports will be slowed down as a 'global event' that is happening. As far as power the easiest way is click on one of your plants and make sure there is not electricity around and also make sure you have an electric substation if the range isnt enough.

Good question - had the same problem today. Productivity dropped down to 30% an less. Only solution I found was to put them to "multiculture". But maybe you will at some point replace plantations simply with other Industries...? Have no idea.

@@hopez3921 I started using manure spreaders, but they cost a lot of livestock to supply a bunch of plantations. Multicultural only works if you have several different types of plantations next to each other.

@@brandonwood6579 yeah, that's what i did then... i've used couple different types of plantations to make "multicultural" work... i'm just not sure if you'll actually need those many plantations in wwII or even cold war...

@@hopez3921 honestly, I started a new island and just kept everything on multiculture and pasture prohibition. I don't make as much stuff, but not enough to break the bank. Just do that. Takes a little bit more time to make money, but its fine.

Manure Spreader - Concentraded spread. Use two on a plantation thats degraded and alternate between different spots and that will counteract the degradation in the end.

If I had to guess I would say he isn't concerned about wearing out the farm land around his palace because eventually you would want to turn it into an urban area and move your farms somewhere else. The same could probably be said for your industrial zone, you would want to move it somewhere else, but because in Tropico all citizens have a complete normal schedule people need to manually wake up in the morning, walk to work, do said work for a full shift and then carry on with their day before going home. If they work as a Teamster (delivery driver) then they need to go to the office, pick up the truck, drive to the sugar plantation to pick up sugar, drive to the distillery to drop it off and pick up rum, and then drive to the docks to drop all of that off. How many runs they can complete in a single shift is determined by how far the distance is they need to travel. The same is true for construction workers and so on, people must live in proximity to their work and not have to travel long distances in order to be efficient. Because the logistics are handled so realistically having everything across the street from each other is really important until you can afford to set up an entire economic zone somewhere else with housing, teamsters, construction workers, medical care, education facilities, fire fighters, law enforcement, food either for sale or provided with your employment or housing. With all of this in mind it is a huge investment to create an industrial town, or an agriculture town. First you just need a small town that has everything.

You should have bare minimum $1 Million treasury before entering the WW era. With 90+% approval. This is way too conservative of gameplay lol

Don’t try to expand your island too fast. That’s likely why you collapsed in the game. Be sure to advance in industries one at a time. And always have 1 more Plantation or Ranch than you do if it’s refinery building (I.E 2 Sugar plantations for every 1 Rum distillery). This way your buildings don’t waste time having no resources in them and teamsters are constantly moving. Also be sure to have a Teamster Office next to EVERY refinery building you create. Even if the last one you made is right next to it. You can never have too many Teamsters in this game. Taking advantage of super low Import trade prices is really key as well.
