We are here, Season 4 of Tropico 6 Sandbox Gameplay and today we start off with showing you how to start an island in Tropico 6, well....how I start an island. If you want a successful island you'll copy these steps though.
This is not a tutorial season but I will be giving you tutorials as I go along with building my island, so this season, in general, will be the ultimate beginner's guide for Tropico 6.
In previous seasons of Tropico 6 we played with a specific mission or goal, on different difficulties, this one we are going back to the basic and just enjoying a nice, successful island with different challenges to it.

I like starting with Sugar and Rum you can make a boat load of money from exporting Rum. But before I do that I build a corn plantation and fishery to give the people food. Outside of all that the typical things like housing, chapels and Grocery stores Before the first era is over I can rank in over 10K per export. This game never gets old.

I just picked this game up and tour videos are teaching me quite a bit which is awesome...i am curious about the fact that you said you've never seen a dock not connected to a road at start and you've never seen pirate attacks that early...ive been playing for like a week..ive prob restarted six or seven times and ive never seen a dock connected at start and pirates come at me early and often...im guessing that between your last series and this one an update changed those things??? Either way love the videos my man

Hahaha why not man? Its a good game. There arent too many out for it yet, the New Llama of Wallstreet is not bad for a DLC though.

For some reason everytime I play despite trading cigarettes and coffee etc and making loads of income my wages are always to high and I lose money and have to rely on corruption for then next 10 years intill the debt is so much I can’t do anything

Hey I get the rest of the settings but I’m just stupid at understanding the Caribbean happiness it’s weak good or bad I’d assume bad but I don’t know what it means is that my people’s happiness or the Caribbean people? I’m new to 6 and very rusty on the game from past memory, but I just want a very easy chill sandbox mode to play, I just like getting creative lol.

i dont know if youve figured it out but youre to compare the Caribbean's happiness to your own peoples happiness. If your island is happier than the rest of the caribbean it means people will want to emigrate to your island. If the rest of the Caribbean is happier than your own island people will want to move out

I love your Tropico videos man! I got one question, my workers are never at their distillery what can I do about it? I built houses near their jobs and everything but they keep at leisure.

Great question, try doing the 'Employee of the Month' Edict. that doubles their shift time. Besides time, not much you can do besides upping the wages. Also do some upgrades to make the Rum Distillery more efficient as well.

Can someone explain a few things to me? I am doing better getting trade routes going but I still end up with some issues. Ill make like 15k but then spend 15k by the time I get another freighter in and make money again. I set things up but then they are slow. My fishers are really slow to bring fish in. Also, can someone explain things I need for certain industries? What do I need for canned goods? What do I need for Boats? Just lumber? Im afraid to accept a trade and then not know how to complete it. A whole video on this would help if anyone could point me to one. Thanks

Can goods, fish and pineapple are default but meat is an option after upgrade. Do logging camps to lumber yard then go either boats or furniture though boats are available earlier

Pirate raids are different to guerilla attacks. They are only in the colonial era

Yes if you build on top of them and also yes when they get enough money to rent a bunkhouse - unless you have the free housing edict on. Which I don’t.

Coca cola used to be made with Coca leaf extract, not cocoa beans. If you want to grow Coca plants you'll have to play Cartel Tycoon instead :P

there most certainly is a wrong way.. its the only way i can figure out lol. 200 hours into the game have only gotten past ww eras 1 single time.. nothing i do ever works and that 1 time i lost really fast due to traffic jams.
