@@user-zu5tv7zt6v that would be hard to do because its so much different here in the phil.i dont think my life is better because the lack of certain things but its stuff i really dont need but sometime want. i do go home once a year or two. that helps alot. dont get me wrong i do love living here. but is my life better im not sure

So James it sounds like you did not do your homework 📚 about the Philippines 🇵🇭 or anywhere else … yes it is very much cheaper to live in the Philippines 🇵🇭 and that is the truth !!!! I myself am planning to move to the Philippines 🇵🇭 as I am retired ,,, I have done my homework 📚 and saved while working … I retired early though I did not want to … but having made more good decisions than bad ones … I can definitely say 💯 % it is very much cheaper to live in the Philippines 🇵🇭.. now I’m not rich but with a good monthly income and having invested and saved … I will live just as nice if not nicer in the Philippines 🇵🇭…, So long story short ,,, make good decisions and do your homework 📚.. makes life that much easier …,

@@porgslastforeverforeverlas8488 Really? I've been coming to the Philippines since 93, as my first wife was a Pinay. I decided to retire here and have LIVED here for 5 years. I watched other foreigners go under, many who had 'a good income' because they choose to support single mothers and extended families. Money is not the only factor, and you can do all the homework you want online (and you should), but you wont' actually know the pros and cons until you've lived here for several months. Tell me, have you done a trial run accessing your accounts online? Purchased a phone line, like magicjack, for making calls back home? Have 2 or 3 ways of accessing your money? Set up a virtual mailbox? If you have that is good. Also, decided where you will live? Will you hire someone to help you, such as a maid or have a friend here to help get you get settled? ONLY by actually living here can you decide whether or not you are living as good or better here than where you're from. I have not only done my 'homework' but plenty of 'field research' as well 🙂 I truly wish you success on your Philippine journey.

Your own children are eligible, but you have to apply. Bringing her back to the states may be risky for other reasons, and I do not personally want enter the rat race there again. If you build savings leave her something in your will. We can't guarantee them a life of easy street, a lot depends on how they mange things once you're gone.

I suggest looking at the SRRV numbers…it’s declining. One big reason, the American bases closed in 94…A lot of military guys have never been to the Philippines…The Vietnam era guys who make up a lot of the expats are aging and deciding to leave…we are going to see a 30 year serious gap in vets wanting to come. We have a VA hospital in Manila, but no commissary access, no real little America to visit like the old bases provided. Anyone who has been stationed overseas knows what I mean … Expat condos, the only real ownership option for expats without creative options have low occupancy rates…developers don’t provide the same disclosures as in the West in terms of association financials…15 million, 300K for a 60 sqm…less than 700 square feet is very expensive. It should concern anyone looking at property in expat communities… So are there better options? I would say the Philippines has competition for sure.

Not difficult at all she just had to apply after living in the US for three years and go thru the application process. The time from application for US citizenship to oath taking was a little over a year. Her and Liam are now both dual citizens.

Not just if you don't have money, but yes much harder then. I let my partner do most of the unpleasant tasks, only because of the language barrier. It has it good points and bad points. Overall, I prefer better than the states.

@@bertronix182 Or perhaps would be happier in another country. Wish we had explored other options as well. Money is important, but so is spending what you have wisely. I'd venture that the vast majority in the Phil are on a fixed income, and few are rich by US standards. Any vloger that paints the Philippines as a paradise, or Fantasy Island, is either delusional or doing it for likes and to get more subscribers, given that he has really lived here and not just passing through.
