Great video and very informative. I just off the phone with Brian Fulton (Foulton)from Progressive Mobility. He was very professional and helpful as was the lady that answered the phone. Thank you both.

At the bottom of backside of the rail is a plastic part call Final Limit actuator" is meant to work in conjunction with the limit switch under the bottom (rearside) of the motor housing ? If not what is the reason for the plastic actuator ?

Our Bruno Elan SRE-3000 was put in last August for my dad to be able to live with us. It's wonderful for him and has allowed him to remain relatively independent. It's working well, no alarms or beeping of any kind, gets him up and down just fine, but the seat no longer stays up when he lifts it. It stays for a second or two, then falls back to the sitting position. Any ideas why? I hate to call for service for such a small problem. It's a bit of a pain in the neck not to be able to put it out of the way if another family member is carrying a load up or down the stairs. Thank you!

k woz , it’s a small problem but the only way to fix this is replacing the the part that does hold it up. The Sre-3000 is no longer manufactured. It was replaced by the street 3050. Give us a call we may have the part off an old used one in our warehouse we can sell cheap. 724-228-4568. Ask for Brian M, we have 2 Brian’s.

Had to move the lift because we put new carpet underneath. When we put it back it doesn't work at all. Is there something I need to do to reset the lift?
@CKostyblues7 күн бұрын
For me it was the simple replacement of 5 amp fuse

I have a Bruno SRE-3000 that gives a beep whenever I try to move it I paid a company $150 to come to my house and fix it he spent a short while making it beep then told me he didn't know what was wrong, but it could be the circuit board at around a $1000.00. but didn't know for sure if that would fix it. I live in Oklahoma where there is very few repair companies, do you have any suggestions? If I disconnect the sensors one at a time that can go bad through getting dirt or dust will the stairlift work or do all sensors have to be connected?
@TheLarryBrown7 ай бұрын
The sensors are just open/close switches, so disconnecting them is the same as having them "open." You can force them to an "open" state by removing one or both wires. You can force them to a "closed" state by jumping them with an alligator clip test lead, but it's sometimes three wires so you may need the manual (which is not generally available). Those two techniques will allow you to test the switches, however the normal operation of those switches is essential to the operation of the chair, so don't operate the chair with any switch(es) disabled or jumped out other than for immediate testing, just an inch or two of movement. In particular, don't run the chair up against the top of bottom of the rail. Since the switch won't tell the chair to stop, that would be bad.

My chairlift works but at the up or down position, the light stays red. The only time the light stays green is if I position the chair somewhere in the middle of the track. I am afraid of not fully charging the battery. Can anyone tell me if that may happen with what is going on.
@TheLarryBrown7 ай бұрын
Sounds like normal operation to me. If you routinely store the chair at the up position and, according to your theory, it doesn't charge, the battery would run down quickly, maybe in several days of use, 10 or 15 trips. So if your theory were correct you would see a discharged battery. If you don't see that, you just need to interpret the red light differently.

What about when it gets to the top and makes a loud bang sound?

We bought a used one. Is there suppose to be a cover along the length of the rail to help hide the greasy gear.? Thanks
@TheLarryBrown7 ай бұрын
Yes, the toothed track on the rail should not be visible unless you put your head near the stair and look up underneath the track.
@shawnwimer27304 жыл бұрын
Sorry about my 1st question. I meant to say that the plastic Final Limit Actuator is actual at the TOP of the backside of the rail..not the bottom. Not enough coffee yet.

@@dfnyc The problem with my chair is the beeping injures my hearing. PGE turns off the electricity with no warning and sets the chair into constant beeping mode. Many people have disabilities of more than one of their senses. The beeping is painful to certain types of hearing impaired. I was told by service repair that SRE 2010 Bruno living aids chair lift cannot have the beeping shut off. Is that true? I am trying to find out how to reset the chair so it stops beeping and hurting my ears. Thank you for posting these videos. I really appreciate having some reference. Peggy Penny

We have had the Bruno starlight for my mom for 4 years. It worked great and suddenly now it does not work. It only starts once in a while, not always. We have replaced the batteries just in case, but it still does not start everytime. Do you have any idea why? We cant afford a new one.
@slaytronic Жыл бұрын
did you figure out a fix for this sounds like what my bruno sre 2000 is doing
@InstaCatz Жыл бұрын
@@slaytronic It is probably the copper slips that charge the seat, which are located on the metal track. The question is where they can be purchased. If you figure it out, let me know.
@Ghostdog1108 Жыл бұрын
Clean the copper contact strips on the back of the rail with a scotch bright pad from top to bottom. Also wipe the front & backsides of the rail with lemon pledge.
@InstaCatz Жыл бұрын
@@Ghostdog1108 Ill try to do that, but I think it is rather that they become too thin with use, and do not make contact anymore. So they need to be replaced, but they are not commercially available, unless the companies that sell these have them.

You probably need new batteries. Mine did that. It cost me $400 for a service call to tell us that. He took it apart and left. We got new batteries but had a hard time putting it back together because we didnt see how he took it apart. We are in a different state so it has nothing to do with the guy in this video.
