Love the trout vids! I like the river and lake locations as they are a little more interesting to have in the background and more inspiring to me as a new fisherman due to access without necessarily needing a boat.

I have a recommendation- I have been trolling for Trout since '83 and use 6# leader, and Never been broken off. Caught a 2.5# Rainbow last year on 6# main line with 4# leader. Great Reel/smooth drag and didn't horse it in. Lighter leader results in better Lure action. I don't have any where near the hours fishing you do, just that I caught my first Trout 50 years ago when I was

I've just started fishing for trout at my local lakes. #6 floro to #10 braid, ultra light spinning. Caught a small, small mouth (They aren't even supposed to be in the little pond I was at. Mrs. was with me so was extra special first fish, and tasty!) ??? What driving me nuts is tying on tackle!!! Uni to Uni for the leader to main, no problems. But tying to the tiny hooks and swivels is really pushing my buttons! Watched a ton of vid's on knots but everyone is demo'ing with rope or with 300# floro to make it easy to see on camera. But I'll be damned if every double line through the eye knot breaks. I just can't see that small to make sure the lines aren't over lapping. If I may ask, what knots are you using for your hooks? Should I stick with uni/improved clinch knots with only one line passing through the hook eye and forget palomars/trilene's / tornado HH knots? (I've got to get a magnifying glass to look at my hooks. Maybe they are cheap and have a flaw in the eye that's cutting the line.) Appreciate your time! Thanks! Bert

That's a sweet set up jordan... yesterday at a local lake here we trolled using rooster tails right out the back no weight slapped 4 and 1 crappie super fun. P.s the watermelon needs to be a staple of these videos.. great way to mark your spot

The reason being logic says putting black with black you don't see. If you use white creyfish or white finess worm with a proline nightcrawler for the worm. Then, procure trophy bass for creyfish. The fish will see and smell the white, thus giving the fish the added benefit of finding lure. Smell is a fishes primary sense and their eyes. If you give smell and a clear visual game on 😊

Love the energy you bring bud! Love the vids! Only caught one trout before but really gonna dive headfirst into it. Prettiest fish out there by a long shot. Look forward to learning all I can. I’m in Minnesota so not as many stream opportunities. From what I hear some good deep clear lakes though. Going to give one a shot in a couple weeks. I will use a lot of what I have learned here. The three colors I've found for soft plastics that works best are white plumb red or red or white ice. The white ice is a really natural bait color. White ice, usually you will find on fluke style soft plastic. The white creyfish or white finess worms for stained or dark water plumb color for clear water for creyfish or finess worms. Pair these with procure trophy bass or blood worms. Trophy bass on the creyfish. Also, you can use proline creyfish, nightcrawler or shad, or herring also frog for frog soft plastics. These are my go-to's
