Try keeping them whole, I go to central Missouri every year. Soak them in salt water a bit, pat dry, lemon butter and seasoning then wrap in foil. Pick through the bones that’s the best part 🤤

If you are fishing out of Lilley's Landing, you have to do a One Cast.

Used to live just south of there in Harrison Ar. Not sure if you know....but there is an elk herd there south of Harrison in the Buffalo National River. Got my first elk the very first year they offered an elk hunt. Mine was a private land hunt and I got a 5x5 bull. One of about 18 elk taken that first year for the private land hunts. May I ask who/where you rented the boat and got access?/where you camped or stayed? Thinking about making a trip out there next year to do a Spring Turkey hunt/ fishing trip. Thanks!
