Great video! Lately I was thinking about orchids, i have one in mind that works great in my terrarium and is beautiful, restrepia tzubotae, you should try. We can have it easily in Europe I do not know in the US. I'm still interested in a video concerning orchids and your experience on it.

For people in Australia, l use bitumen rubber from Betta waterproofing you can buy from most good hardware stores,l used it for frogs cages had no trouble to date.

Nice build! Unless I missed it, there doesn’t seem to be a drainage layer - how do you remove excess water without clogging the substrate? Or do you just balance the missing so this never happens?

I had good growth for moss with ABG, tree fern fiber, hygrolon, and also the poret filter foam

I’m going to build my first Vivarium soon for my plants. It will be mostly aroids and I want them to eventually root and adhere into the walls. What wall method is best method for that? The cork tile method? Silicone and soil? Silicone and sphagnum moss?

hey! big question! so i got a 36x18x36 paludarium that will be housing some whites tree frogs. i want to know what would be the best lighting that could reach the bottom for the moss to grow. i see all types of lights and recommendations from other hobbyist's but im still concerned. i would love your input on the matter :) also i love all your tank builds! very beautiful.

Honestly.... I just use cheap led shop lights from amazon with 6000k temp.... but those tanks are all just 24” tall.... but I would imagine they would work on 36” too

Mmm I would think of it were toxic… i wouldn’t have dart frogs that have been living and breeding in the tanks for 10+ years in the tanks that have drylok and cement color. I do make sure to rinse it really really well after it’s cured.

It’s a basement waterproofer....in Germany I believe a lot of froggers use elastopur or something like that

@@TroyGoldberg Thanks :) One more Question ... :D how do you support your plants with nutritions in the Hygrolon terrarium? Seems like u have no soil on wall or ground? Im planing a similar project. Just instead of the PU Foam i will use also the filter matts that u used for the bottom part ( i will sculpt them for the background and glue the hygrolon on it ... the wood will be directly glued on the glas with silicone.) First time for me with theese methods ... but just as u sayin tryin tryin and tryin ^^
