Recieved word X509 was getting crewed at Fox and Q327 was getting on board in Wyoming, so out to Grandville I went. Both trains have solid CP power, reminiscent of the former CP trackage right trains of days gone by.
X509 was an extra Q509, with manifest traffic from Toledo for BRC Clearing, routed via Grand Rapids instead of Q509's Garrett routing. We see them at Grandville and West End Hudsonville.
Q327 is just starting late, but has a good size train out of Grand Rapids for Barr yard in Chicago. We see them in the dip at Vriesland, and while the sun angle didn't entirely work out, I really like the oncoming angle.
