I wanted to say that I really appreciate that you include some shots in your videos with genuine audio. I know copyright can sometimes make it difficult if there’s a DJ, but it’s so much easier to feel the authentic vibe of the pool and other common areas sometimes without added music over the top. Great review!

Greetings and happy new year Mr. James . My first Coolist video of 2024. I definitely liked the room . Very nice . The property looked great as well . I agree about being isolated. I prefer to be closer to other resorts and things to do etc. I’m not sure about that entertainment. It was a tad odd and out of place lol . Been watching your reviews for a while and have been planning on staying at TRS Coral for my next trip to Cancun. I appreciate the level-headed balanced review, especially important at the price point they're charging. I am certainly curious if the amenities and benefits of the Grand Palladium being included on the property can offset the downsides, but it certainly leaves some to be desired. Loved the video. We stayed in Dec 2023 and wzperienced rhe same rainy cool weather. El guacho is definitely a fluke or maybe inconsistent based on chef.. we dined there twice and the food was amazing. La Boheme is untouble and the best ala carte at any resorts we have visited. Thabk you I really enjoyed re living my wxperience through your video and I learned that I could have tried a Bob Marley drink...who knew?

I have been there and you must have hit a bad night. My meal there was spectacular, the sweetbreads and the steak was amazing with the chimichurri sauce ! Great video.

We stayed there last April for 14 nights. Loved the whole property. We did not go to the French restaurant and my wife had the same issue at el gaucho. we found the restaurants at the plaza better than TRS (included in the price) we enjoyed Helios and caprico at TRS. We also used the GP pools, a great quiet pool, super relaxing and the hydrotherapy spa was brilliant. Great staff, very friendly throughout………. The 2 things that let it down was the nightlife, (other than chic) and the constant time share hassle in the main lobby.

I have had my eyes on this property for years for the amazing rooms but always end up somewhere else. There are too many good options in Cancun to settle for mediocre food & amenities. Great review . I loved when you were laying back on your couch & narrating ! Chill Vibes 😎

I was there in the beginning of July 2023, It was so hot, Don't recommend to travel in July. The property is gorgeous, great food, drinks. But the main cons is entertainment and nightlife. Basically there is no entertainment, very chill, quiet zone. After 7 pm you can't see anyone outside, it looks like people disappeared. Majority of them are in Palladium for the shows or entertainment. TRS resort is missing night life. Very boring at the evenings. Not for singles, for sure. There is only one bar by the ocean on third floor, few pairs are dancing. That's all.

If you really want to be at a resort in Cancun that checks all the boxes. Go to Platinum Yucatan Princess. I couldn’t believe how good everything was at that price point. Adults only, swim up rooms. Best pool ambiance ever. Give it a try. Don’t be scared for how cheap the prices are.

Omggg the Empanadas are amazing. Best i ever had. The inly issue i had with the TRS coral, was the lack of late night food. Seems like everything closes at 10

It was a beautiful property, but I was bored to tears while I was there. And the food at TRS Yucatan is actually better (especially El Gaucho and the Italian restaurant), but that one is really like a retirement home😂. However, I definitely agree with you, everyone gets the same treatment and alcohol, no upsells which is great. Both are great for laid back trips.

Same here, after 7 pm the resort are at sleep mode. No people outside, very dark areas, required more lights for evening walks. The pool entertainment is almost 0, definitely not for singles, but more for couples who needs to chill and relax. The best part is luxurious room and great beach.

El Gaucho was the same at TRS Yucatan, we didn't rate the steaks but did try other things on the menu and found them good. Great review the Coral is on my list for this year so good to get a honest opinion. Maybe try the TRS Yucatan next time you are further down the coast. Its the same set up as Coral with 3 Grand Palladium hotels. I would love to know how you rate it.

I've been in both TRS resorts. TRS Coral resort has very great beach with plenty lounge chairs with shades. TRS Yucatan doesn't have access to the sea, which is the biggest disappointment for people who enjoy the beach the most. The food was great in both places, Entertainment was better in TRS Yucatan, because there is almost no entertainment at TRS coral. Very boring resort at evening after 7 pm.

many thanks for the informative video We are looking to holiday in Mexico - TRS appeals to me it's not a grand complex & the rooms are fantastic My husband & I work very hard as do most people & the TRS has ticked all my boxes other than food - did you say you can use the facilities next door this would be a great alternative if TRS got so tedious or the food was rank (which I very much doubt)

All TRS Coral travelers can use family property Palladium, entertainment, you can book their restaurants as well. You can use Palladium buffet. I stayed in TRS Coral in July 2023, the food was very good, the beach is phenomenal, but what was locking is the entertainment and no nightlife at all. Very boring resort after 7 pm. If you enjoy to swim in the sea and you are the beach person, I would recommend TRS coral resort. If you prefer pool, hmmm... it is nice, but it is not deep enough...

Luv your content... I do think you should have told the waitress at the Steakhouse your true thoughts on the food - if they don't know the issues, they cannot fix it.

We were there in fall of 2020 and had the same experience at the steakhouse. Actual none of the restaurants were very good that trip. The rooms and the service was amazing but the meals and drinks were sub par and among the worst I’ve had at a resort in Mexico.

Great video you guys. Please tell me this. I have knee issues and going up and down stairs is a problem wirh me. Does this resort have facilities in place (elevators, ramps, golf carts etc) to help me get everywhere I might want to go? (ie: from room to restaurants, beach, pool etc..) The loft ocean view rooms are so pretty, if it werent for really ineffective A/C. The spa is amazing. The food is thr worst I've had at any all inclusive hotel. And because it's location is so remote, you're dependent upon the hotels restaurants. I'll never to back to the hotel again, even if it was free.

TRS Coral is very boring regarding entertainment, you have to go to next door Family resort Palladium for the shows. You can use their restaurants as well. TRS Coral has very good beach, with plenty beach lounges with the shade. If you are beach person, you will enjoy the beach a lot. Very little waves, nice area. Food was fine, too. I was staying there in July 2023, and really enjoyed their food and cappuccino. The pool at TRS Coral looks luxury, but it was not deep enough. I am petite and the level of water was around waist area. Disappointment.

We were not impressed with the TRS steak house, far preferring the one over on the family side. We also preferred the Italian on the family side too. We enjoyed taking the electric boats over to the village area and thought the coffee shop there was pretty good but it is a shame there are limited true adult only areas. Not sure if it is still the case but as a TRS guest, when we went you could also use the spa facilities FOC every day, which was a nice bonus. Coming from the UK we typically do two weeks (we like to completely unwind) but when I visited TRS Coral we split the trip with Excellence Riviera Cancun for the second week - opting for the safety net of familiarity having done a split trip three years earlier between Valentin Imperial Maya and ERC. Both one week trips to ERC were so enjoyable, in 22 we did two weeks there and it remains my favourite Mexican resort so far (including Excellence Playa Mujeres). Atelier and Secrets Akumal are high on my wish list to compare.

I've stayed here. The benefit is you have access to the grand palladium shows..buffets and restaurants...but they don't have access to tra amenities

went to TRS Coral several years ago. The facilities are beautiful. Very nice accommodations. The food as a whole is absolutely awful. Would not return.

I watched this to see if I had the same experience. My husband and I found almost all the food inedible. The worst was probably the Indian restaurant but it was all around the quality of airplane food or worse. I’ve had airplane food better than what I ate there. Beautiful property but terrible food.

TRS doesn't seem to be on the high high of the list of other locations. There always seem to be that missing ingredient. Those flaws are really bad and I wouldn't stay with those at all.

Stayed for 7 days. The food was terrible. Beer selection garbage. Pool vibes were boring. No music. Air conditioner didn’t work in room. Hotel wouldn’t do ANYTHING about it. Sucks that half the restaurants are on the family side. Coffee was garbage. Employees were not helpful. DONT GO TO CHIC CABARET WASTE OF TIME, wayyyy too long and food was also bad.

Truly - this hotel had one of the greatest rooms that I've been to at an all-inclusive in Cancun (loft), but the food was inedible the entire stay. I subsisted on french fries and club sandwiches because everything else was so awful. The spa is great truly great but just does not make up for how bad the food is at this hotel...

@@sandonspalding2439 spa was mid. Lofts/2 story rooms is what we usually get so if it’s your first time with it…it’s cool. But when nothing works in it or doors don’t close properly etc. it ruins time

We left here after 1 day. The hype is not real, so disappointing. The 1 main pool, horrible. Overcrowded, no quiet place to relax. Blasting music constantly and girls twerking. Giving major cheap Riu vibes.
