I have gotten some requests about the Tru-Line 8 from my viewers. I hope that they are getting through to you. Thank you again for the opportunity to try it out. I have had that laser for several years and that is the first time that I have had a proper use for it. The video blurred the light point a bit, it is actually a very fine point that works very well with the scribe lines.

Use of the machine with the alignment device attached has proved to be accurate and reliable. Certainly well with in the limits of the work that I do. Thanks for the suggestion.

I have some followers interested in it. I hope that Bruce can get some business out of it. I am very pleased with the results and the ratchet helps by not introducing any extra twisting moment on the head.

I have been very satisfied with this arrangement. Unfortunately, Bruce, the builder of the Truline 8 has had to close up shop. I have seen several versions of this used on the round column mills. Two examples are kzfaq.info and kzfaq.info. What I found that made the biggest difference has been using the ratchet on the elevator mechanism. Using the crank handle put too much torque pressure on the head of the mill. Thank you for watching and commenting.

I was suspicious at first when I saw it and spoke to Bruce about it at the Bash. For most features the accuracy is just fine. It holds within a couple of thousandths. I biggest improvement is the ratchet replacing the crank. I want to put a motor drive on it, that will take of the the torque out of twisting the head. Winky's Workshop just did a video on building his own. I think that the Tru Line 8 is more ridged.

I got my first set of SK tools when I was 14 and I still have and use them, that was 54 years ago and still strong as the day they were built. I was an SK automotive dealer, so most all of my tools are from them. Thanks for watching and commenting.

I got the unit from a friend and machinist from Australia. All I paid for was the freight. He gave it to me to promote. Unfortunately he has had to close up his shop because of family health issues. I will double check with Bruce. The Tru-Line 8 is available, that is why he sent it to me. Bruce is in Australia so it may take a day or two for him to respond. They are 12 hours or so different from us. As far as the laser is concerned I got it from a estate sale, I will check the manufacture when I get home after the Holiday weekend.
