I tried a few different ways on my 23' yukon, was a pain in the ass and those clips weren't coming. This was SO MUCH EASIER. Thank you!

Finally the real way, tried to remove mine from a video installing a lighted badge and it showed to pry them off with like a fork tool and i broke all but one tab on the C, so i just stopped and these new black badges have been sitting in the back seat, thank you very much, now i can finally install them , will have to add superglue to the corner of the C, i went back and rewatched the lighted badge video and you can see he broke most of his tabs but doesn’t mention it in the video, again thank you. I’ve been waiting on this video for a year

If you '22+ refresh model guys stumble upon this, don't do it this way, especially if you don't want to destroy the letters. On 22+ refresh, the letters are part of a subassembly. Remove the plastic cover under the hood and then use about 1' of extension and a T20 to remove 5 torx head screws from the back and the block detaches, then you can release the clips from the back side of that block.

I’ve got a 2023 AT4. Do you know of any videos that show what you’re talking about? Sounds like on the 23 it’s much easier? Dealer did it this way on my 21, broke a bunch of clips attached to the grill and had to replace the whole grill!

@@gjuliano52 Nope, figured it out for myself. Look at the letters, they're attached to a block. That block comes out if you take the 4-5 screws from the backside out. Once the block is out, remove letters easily, install new into block, reinstall the block.

Wow, could be a game changer! The 23 AT4 also has that little emblem in the bottom right. Any way to get that done without taking the grill off??

Very nice. How do you separate the ribs of the grill from the border? Do you bend the tabs from the back? Or is there a way to access and pry with a flathead as you did from the front like the badges?

What's sad is my truck came with the black ones but they literally fell off 6 months after buying the truck (got it brand new from Gmc dealer)

@@harlihollandharris8520No chance. They're plastic welded/riveted in there. I couldn't even get my red piece out without snapping it in half. If you popped the whole assembly out from the back side (without first removing the red) then you could theoretically neatly remove the plastic "rivet" heads on the backside then reapply with some sort of adhesive after you did your paint/vinyl color match. I posted a vid on my channel of the aftermath of removing the "C" 😂 I promise I was careful and it still broke.
