Hey Maria; so great that you and Blue made it to Alaska! You really are a rockstar. One tip..Blue would be better not being tied to a tree because of a bear did charge, Blue would be like a worm on a fishing pole. Best to leave him untied so he’d be able to dodge and run away from the bear. P.S. put a bell on his collar. It helps you know where he is in case he does get out of sight.

(Please like and comment so Maria sees this) Maria, I wrote on your video from today. Our GSD was only 5 years old when he was diagnosed with lymphoma. We did chemo and oral steroids. Out of nowhere his lymph nodes in his neck were enormous. With treatment Jager lived 15 months from date of diagnosis to his passing. Look into oral steroids, they helped him tremendously. From keeping his weight back up and also wanting to eat. Please reach out if you have any questions. I would treat him all over again to keep those 15 extra months. You are so amazing with Blue and he is not “just a dog!” Our animals are FAMILY!

You definitely had more than a few people worried about you over the last little while, but your excitement upon arriving in Alaska is so obviously genuine and speaks volumes about your resilience! I caught up on your last one earlier today and was dying at the welcome to Alaska cliffhanger and was just hoping you’d upload the next one since it’s been 6 days and you did!! Also, Blue is a sweetheart. I’m so happy to see he’s himself again and he’s enjoying this trip with his mama.

I remember the first time I saw a ‘Moose Crossing’ sign… it was on the way to the Alaska State Fair. I remember smiling to myself at the sign…we don’t have moose in Southeast Alaska.😊

You are so amazing with Blue. True love both ways right there. I have experienced lymphoma in our pure bred 5yo GSD. This was 2 decades ago, but wanted to tell you what helped him eat and gain weight back. That was the oral steroids. Please look into it with your vet. It truly helped Jagar eat have a lot of energy and keep his weight up. We did everything. He lived about 15 months from date of diagnose.(not saying that is how short your dog will live. Ours was in bad shape very quickly and they were honest telling us that around a year with treatment is what we would get. Without our boy wouldn’t have made it a couple months.) Cherish every moment with your boy. He is such a great dog. At times I feel like he’s a human the way he looks at you.

A word of warning: you should know, when you spray the Bear Spray, you can potentially get it on you and Blue which can be extremely dangerous if you’re close to a bear ! Be aware of the wind direction and always make noise when walking … please be careful!❤❤❤

So happy to see you and Blue. Please be extra vigilant when it comes to bears. A friend who lives there said bears are hungry/starving this year. Even in residential area I'd be careful. It's so beautiful there.

I give my boy Goats Milk, Pumpkin, and Blueberries almost every day with his Raw food. The Goats milk helps balance PH pumpkin is just great for dogs and Blueberries are a miracle food and you may consider adding a few to his diet everyday.

if for some reason you need butternut squash for blue again, maybe check the baby food aisle, i've seen organic butternut squash baby food and it's usually just squash and water. Excited to see the 2 of you get to Alaska! Safe trip to both you and blue!
