I started trucking in 1980 and I tell you they would have been run out of town if they pulled the nonsense they be doing nowadays. And back then if your truck broke down 2 to 4 drivers would stop to help you get going. Completely different from back then.

Hello to u all out there on Bonehead truckers! I’ve been retired now for 10 of years and never owner operated, only company driven. But the add says 88% loads? That means the driver who pays for the truck, fuel, expenses, taxes and their considerable TIME gets to keep $.88 out of each dollar, while the broker gets $.12 on each dollar, on EACH of the dozens upon dozens of loads he commissions? With a ph bill, health care if lucky, but home snug as a bug in a rug EVERY night weekend and holiday!!! That is exactly the problem right now in trucking. Especially if you’re advertising this is a good deal? Yea for WHO EXACTLY? I come from a family that was forced out of bus in 1982, by the teamsters union and deregulation. So after we sold the fleet, the sales manager and VP, went into bus for themselves as brokers. All I know is they made so much dam money all they could talk about was how stupid it was to run trucks for so long and ending up closed. When they should have been doing brokering all along. I was young and wanted to drive, so never had any interest. But those two made enough bank to retire comfortably in 10 years! Making only 10% on loads, they could not in good conscience charge owner operators more, knowing how hard the other side, the trucks and owners worked! There should be a rule, that after the handle so many loads/drivers the % raises in the drivers favor starting as high as only 10%! Because just 10 loads over the oh is the same as ONE a driver must invest a whole 24 hrs min if everything goes right, while the broker sitting on their asses makes as much as 12-24 drivers in the same amount of time!

Retired some years ago, glad I did. There was a rest stop in Ill that I would stop at every time I had a run up that way. Every time I stopped there, there was a toilet full of waste where who ever used it , I guess thought it was funny to disgust whomever opened the stall door. Always made me wonder how these nasty boneheads lived at home!

It is too bad you have to drive all night because the major fuel operators don't take responsibility for their operation for blocked islands and bad parking. The DOT (I have dealt with them) and four wheelers are another story. I bet your life would be better if the fuel operators would take responsibility for the mess they create.

I drove for 42 years until my body was so broken I just couldn’t do it anymore, but I’m proud of my record plus I always showed respect for my fellow drivers and for law enforcement, back in the 1980’s and 1990’s we never had boneheads as bad as they are now, it started all around 2000 and continued to get worse !!

I recently renewed my medical card. Part of the exam involved a urine sample. Drivers were asking if it was a drug test. Doctor assured it was not a drug test. I started telling drivers that the urine test was for a data base. That the EPA was matching pee bottles to drivers on the data base and issuing fines and possibly suspending the CDL license. I hope that kept some drivers from littering with pee bottles.

Trucking is too dangerous. I retired. I had a CDL through 2023 and job anytime with Bubba of HTI local TUC. Home every night. TUC and Mexico. I am done. I helped with groceries, product, mines, Infrastructure, and road network. Bonehead Truckers will save some young Trucker lives. That is good.

I was out west somewhere getting fuel at a flying j when I watched a guy walk into the parking lot and up to the fuel island. He dug a cup out of the trash and filled it up with the water spout that says non potable water and drank it down.

I especially love the static, hollow nature and echo on the one with the grandpa sounding truck driver who sounded sarcastic and started cracking up ("that's a rookie make I ain't seen done in a while, drag your landing gear across the highway and stopping traffic") over the driver who dropped(dragged) his landing gear and was trying to lift it up @ the truck stop.

Washing up on the fuel island was still a common sight 30 years ago. A lot of truck stops still didn't have showers or the had a large shower room. A lot of places just had a hose around back that you could use.

I was in Carlisle, PA about 6 months ago at the Flying J and a Schneider driver dropped his trailer blocking 3 fuel islands...I walked in and told the manager and they said they called the company...If I had a truck stop I would buy a wrecker just to tow drivers blocking fuel aisles and dropping trailers and charge them

Back when I got my CDL I did not have to take a driving test. The company I worked for had the authority to sign me off for DMV. People knew how to drive in those days. Never did a pre trip, never had to, we were required to make sure our truck was in working order.

I've only been driving for a few months and it blows my mind that enough stupid shit happens out there to keep a channel like this going. 99% of these clips wouldn't happen if people just paid attention and thought a little bit about what they were doing. @@leonrawls892 I am at a free shower stop once a week a lot of us are stuck at shipper on a 10hr or at mom and pop stops we don't always get to stop at the company stop where we fuel I'm glad the man's BATHING I wish 90% more would see this and take a hint and bathe themselves and some us run hard and don't have 2hrs to wait in a shower line LIVE AND LET LIVE ,LET ANY DRIVER BATHE ANY WAY HE CAN non drivers always say drivers are fat smelly stinky people so the fuel aisle bather is actually improving our IMAGE

I got a non CDL class A license in Illinois a few years ago for driving 40’ rv trailer the DMV tester complained I was swinging wide on corners I had to explain that the trailer wheels don’t follow same place the truck tire go. Lol

I got 3 more years until retirement. Thank You Sweet Jesus. No more Bonehead Truckers. I would love to go back to 1990 trucking That was TRUCKING back then, when drivers had respect for one another. This is what you get in today's trucking industry with 6 months or less of training. Besides, you don't make any money, thanks to E-logs. 70hrs a week × 52 weeks a year = 3,640hrs to work a year. Most drivers lose a quarter of it because of home time or time off. I got 33 years, I'd be grossing nearly $90,000+ by now. I'm no where near that thanks to E-logs. If I was still on paper logs and the old hours of service rules, yes, I'd be making that much today.

Lmfao it’s funny to see that driver honking at the guy blocking the scales I weighed a load earlier and when I was done talking to the cashier on the intercom I parked and the guy behind me on the scales immediately started honking I wasn’t even there 40secs and he was blowing that air horn🤣🤣🤣

One more to add. Back in 1990 trucking. Fuel lanes were not like that, 1 or 2 truckers filling up the rigs every few hours. Drivers would not only have respect for each other, but for the truck stops too. You put your trash in the receptacle or dumper. No pee bottles laying around. TA & Flying J was about 7 or 8 years in business. Petro was about 3 or 4 in business. Pilot & Love's were still gas stations. But a boat load of ma & pop truck stops ( Burns Brothers, Sapp Brothers, Rip Griffins, Whitte Brothers...etc these started up chains) and others were under franchises such as Marathon, Shell, Phillips 66, Conoco, Unocal 76...etc. Those were the glory days. But thanks to government control (FMCSA). The trucking industry is one big shithole. We're being controlled by a Software Program.

I haven't been around heavy equipment in 20 years but i do remember some landing gears having two speed gearing for slow with a load and fast with no load bearing .

Nice to see an old Central Ref trailer out in the wild. Don't get to see them very much down here in South Tx. @9:35 if I was calling it a night I'd park right in front of that reefer trailer and refuse to move when whomever parked it there showed up to get it. And I'd be close as shit, but I think I could still get it between the lines.

Maybe the last video the trucks may have had trucks in front, and they were finished fueling and ran inside. I've seen it backed up 3 deep sometimes, and have ran inside with the truck in front of me and I was at the island. Don't always assume they just parked there. The camera man just walked up there, he didn't show how long the truck was there. Just saying

The truck stops need to start keeping a tow truck service on site. They could charge a tow charge and make a killing and it would help business for the truck stop.

i seen a video of big rig becca and she was hauling hay at 78000lbs.so they are heavy. what i never hauled is compressed gas and do they need 18 wheels to haul that? are those "loads" heavy?
