Alex, I love watching your videos. I used to have three golden retrievers. Not all at once two and then down to one. They are the love of my life but I'm too old to hang on to them anymore. Now I have two Yorkie Poos. One is 15 and the other is 4. I'm sure you feel that life would not be the same without Terra. I always look forward to your videos and wish you did more than one a week. I like watching you grow. I wish I could have done something like you're doing and I was younger. I look forward to seeing your new build and wish you all the luck in the world.

Very nice to see Alex in a surreal view of desert. Honestly, the kind of rig doesnt matter really. I am here because i simply like Alex. I remember all the trouble and struggles she has been through, and it all makes me relate with empathy. I think Alex has feelings value for every subscriber that follows her journey. If every subscriber would donate a few bucks , we can all help Alex get a proper rig. Writing nice comments would not help Alex. Deeds speaks louder than words. English is not my first language, and i dont really care what other people think of me. We all owe Alex a debt of gratitude, for sharing her journey. Hearts content.

I have a Lance camper (1996) on a 2002 Ford Superduty F250 2WD. It has more room and a lot more storage than your camper. It is bigger to drive, though. I bought it pro-covid for less than 20K. I have a shower, toilet, generator built in, microwave, over, stove and fridge and freezer. It also has air conditioning. If you want to avoid expensive repairs, go with a gas engine.

I like this way more the the bus . The school bus was adorable but seemed more of something I’d live in parked .I personally didn’t think it could be sturdy enough for traveling and adventuring places frequently. This truck suits you . 🥰

You look more relaxed and happy without the worry of breaking down. Terra was having a blast with all of that room to run 😊. I'm looking forward to seeing your new build. That sand/dirt is going to be a a booger to clean out. 😉

SS tip: I love stainless steel pots because you can scrub them clean. In varying degrees of scrub-strength - 1.) Lunatec dishcloths 2.) green scrub pads found in any store 3.) SOS pads - have saved a burnt pot more than once 4.) and of course with the help of water-soak / vinegar anything lifts off

Holy crap, crazy that I found this video because I just sold my school bus that was going to be my project and I've decided to do truck life! (Because I felt that the bus was too big! Too difficult to find parking, etc.) I'm going to look at a truck tomorrow and I'm so excited! I plan to build my own camper over the bed and cab. I've been sleeping in a Tahoe but "Winter is Coming" here in KY and I need something with a little more space to not feel so trapped and cramped but also with building a truck bed camper I can make sure it is super well insulated and not be so cold without having to run the vehicle for heat! But again I'm just super excited to make this decision and still think it's so crazy I ended up on this video because we have such kinda similar stories/situations! I hope you're enjoying what you do no matter what and I hope you stay safe and stay blessed out there!

2 issues with a truck - no bathroom + have to go outside to get between the driver's area and the living area (better not rain). Class B RV's don't have these issues. Other than that, the truck is a much more capable vehicle

A friend has 4x4 van which I like as there's no separation tween cabin and cab as in truck.

LOL... you have a "skin watch", reminds me of my wedding band (tan)! Pretty dog, sadly we can't our two small dogs anywhere without them throwing up on the rear seats. OOH YEAY, 4x4! My mistake not checking if our Honda Pilot was 4x4 & could pull more; too late, we've had it for a year, it's OK just can't carry more. My friend don't forget that with that truck a truck you can pull a small trailer behind you with a little flat bottom aluminum boat in it or a canoe for example and then you can put your Camp gear inside the boat or canoe and then when you get to location makes a great storage if you're not floating in the river to take things out of the truck or your van and put them inside of the boat or the canoe and cover it with a tarp works great and then all your Camp gear is in the boat also instead of in your rig I'm talking from experience and then you can unhook the trailer and still go off Rendezvous and leave your camp set up and of course when you want to float and go out fishing or something you've got your capability to get out on the water and go collect firewood or fish or rocks or or :-) Mark southern Missouri Ozarks my offer still stands looking for fiance to explore together with

Alex! So happy you have found a truck here in Minnesota to continue your adventures! Your stick to it ness has inspired so many. Over the last 45 years campers came and went at my house. Now have a permanent choice also, I bought a class B in March. This Revel is big on the outside but not on the inside. It drives like a van but has everything I need. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Happy trails and hope Minnesota treats you well!

I STILL USE RANDOM DUMP STATIONS FOR MY CAMPCO 5.5 GALLON PORTABLE TOILET EVERY 7- 10 DAYS, , AND FILL A WATER JUG FOR MY SINK. BUT MY TRUCK IS A 2003 CHEVY SO ITS ONLY WORTH MAYBE $4500 BUKS. JUST STARTED WINTER #3, AND I AM VERY TUNED UP ON WHAT IT TAKES TO SURVIVE IN A COLD IDAHO WINTER. SO , YA ... OVERSPENDING IS NOT REALLY THE BEST DECISION, ESPECIALLY WITH LIMITED FUNDS, WHICH I HAVE... HOPE THIS HELPS, AND STOKED TO SEE YOU FINDING TRUCK, CAMPER LIFE AN GREAT ALTERNATIVE. Cool. So I’ve seen another traveler with a rig like yours, and one other who has been testing out a similar rig as you are. She moved up from a Prius. Now you’re just starting out with this type of vehicle. A couple of things I’ve seen over time between to two. You have yo exit you vehicle to go from the rear access point to the cab for storage items, and conditions aren’t always ideal. Then you’re having to set up and take down the camper each time you need to move. I’m thinking of the time it takes to do the task especially if you need to relocate abruptly. Snow build up on the top making it difficult to open up the inside sleeping area if you get inside. Have fun clearing that off. So have you tried a sprinter class vehicle in order to compare and contrast what the living environment is like on a daily basis. Yeah, and no to school buses as a travel vehicle for living in as you move around from the various locations. It was fine and adventurous back in the 60s and 70s when these lifestyle was in its infancy stage, but this is the 21st century and the technology and creature comforts are so advanced, that if these devices existed back then, they would have gladly forsaken any and all bus life for what now exists without any hesitation. See every conversion design available from this country and from the EU. I’ve seen some of their build that have some innovative builds as well. Make sure you have a wench included for you next vehicle. All the best on your endeavors and travels.

I grew up all over Oregon but moved out of there drove out of there in a 54 Plymouth at 15 years old headed for Arizona got stranded the first night and snow all the way up to the windows had to get towed to get her started and then ran out of money before we got to Arizona but anyways it's a long story I miss Oregon haven't been there in about 15 years it's beautiful had a family reunion in Bend I think we should get together and camp together I'm an expert I like to take the canoe the gun the bow and the pressure cooker and fruit jars !!!and keep them filled up with good things to eat that last a long time:-) im Mark! I'm in southern Missouri now it won't take you long to get here unless you want me to come out that way!!! I've got an old 97 Dodge Cummins 4x4 and some trailers the Kodiak four-wheeler:-) give me a jingle let's chat ,,,I'm looking for fiance also!! that way we can really do an adventure in style

While there are definitely pros to having a pop up truck camper, there are also drawbacks. You won't be able to stealth camp in it, for one. Good choice on a manufacturer. FWC is a great company.

So a dodge 2500 truck is at least $70 000 stock plus the lift kit and tires around 10-15000 plus the camper is between 20-40 grand. Brand new those rigs are very expensive.

Wow. Hood River is the town I grew up in. Absolutely amazing and glad you visited there. Living in Arkansas now and really miss the. Columbia River Gorge.

Try a 4x4 van, there is no discrete camping in a truck with a camper. You have to get out of your truck in the rain or snow to sleep..
