That’s my buddy Taylor. He built that sound system back here in missouri before he moved down south. Sure do miss that man. Glad he’s okay the trucks rebuildable 👌🏻

He probably just needed his keys. You can't take the keys out of the ignition without the vehicle being in park.

@owendodman3037 I don't know about you but I keep other important keys on my key chain such as my house key, my garage key and my work truck key. If my truck was sinking in a pond I'd make sure to take the key with me

I can't believe that your jeep weighed enough to stay in position and not be dragged toward the heavier truck underwater. Do you have any kind of brake lock or do you just depend on the transmission and parking brake? Great job on choosing the angle for the pull. You must know some dirt on the guy that went in the water for you.

We do have a brake lock, we also thought we would slide, but then we would have deployed the scotch blocks for extra anchoring

Not really the winch is way bigger then needed so it’s running at a low capacity percentage A 12k winch we use is rarely seeing more then 4500lbs

Fresh water, maybe not. My 02 Silverado was completely submerged in fresh water during Katrina in 05, still trucking along at 330,000 plus miles, original engine and trans. I could've just been lucky though.🤔

@@matt.mckinzie I wrote that before the ending of the video... 😁 Back in April, I think, I flew out to Florida for the 2022 Tow Convention. I needed to research insurance for starting up in California. I had never been to Florida and while flying in and looking down I could not believe how flat it is and how many bodies of water are literally everywhere. As a tow guy the first thing I imagined was how many people must've driven into those possibly to never have been found. I'm not towing at the moment, but I still pull over and check whenever I spot new skid marks going into broken fencing or cliffs down by the coast. I always reconstruct accident scenes also while "on scene" or while driving past an accident.

Our best guess is a few tow trucks said no We were called directly from the insurance company to pull it out and they would have a tow truck pick it up afterwards
