Truck Walk-Around: Haslet Velocity PUC Pumper

5 жыл бұрынThe Haslet Fire Rescue has placed their new Engine 28 into service! Engine 28 is a custom Pierce Velocity PUC pumper with a lot of cool and smart features built into it. Here's some highlights:
• 70" Pierce Velocity cab with 10" raised roof
• Six-man cab with custom seat embroidery
• Detroit Diesel DD13, 470hp engine
• 22" front bumper extension with bumper line and rescue tools
• TAK-4 independent front suspension
• 700 gallon water tank
• 25 gallon foam cell
• Pierce PUC 1500 GPM pump
• Husky 12 foam system
• Nightspots compartment interior with red LED strip lighting
• Blue LED backlit handrails
• Rear hose reel
• Hose bed cover
• Oil dry hopper
• Will-Burt NightScan light tower
• Laser cut 'ENGINE' in front bumper with blue lighting
• Rear custom compartment for hose lines and equipment
• Coffin compartments
• Custom compartmentation including slide out trays, swing out tool board, slide out tool board, and more

Don't know much about fire engines but that shot of the control panel on the side the green light I swear I thought it was a credit card slot at first lol

Not a fan of the red LED lightning in the compartments

Saw on another video why they do it If they are on say a highway cars can be attracted to the white lighting they usually have in the compartments the red lights are supposed to deter it

Red lighting is for Scene safety!

@@FeartheCyr611 also using red light it takes less time for your eyes to adjust to dark environments and there's loads of those on the fire grounds

@@americanoutdoorsman_1133 he's not the one bitching about a pump. You are. Remember civilians don't order fire trucks.....fire departments do and they will put whatever equipment they want on there and that fits the need of the department for the particular mission they're on. If they did want input you would be on the apparatus committee right.

@@navblue20 for your information I’m on my fire department’s apparatus committee and have been for the last 7 years. I was speaking in general about I’m not a fan of the PUC. Also we go with Pierce also and non of our new apparatuses have the PUC no one on our committee including myself likes them.
