At 73 years old I still do nearly all the work and maintenance on my truck and other vehicles. Can’t trust anyone anymore to do the job right

@@Outback-Truckers retired 11 years ago. 34 years. Even 10-12 years ago those rigs had become nice compared to the ancient ones

Proof one more time mechanics don’t will not follow directions like they were told to change everything as he said. Either arrogant, or lazy. That pulley probably had some indication of trouble if they had checked it . A $15 part and hours of downtime. I’d be so damn pissed.

Cummins isx tensioner certainly isn’t 10 bucks haha, why wouldn’t you have a spare set of belts and a tensioner in the truck out there

Dunno mate, but probably because dont have enough towers. Used to get service most places with analogue but that was shut down decades ago and everything went to digital, its been a sh1tshow ever since. Wasn't great with 3g but since that's been shutdown in favour of 5g, it's gotten even worse. Sat phones and service is extremely expensive too. lt's alright around major centres where the pollies live tho so that's probably part of the problem too.
