Well the trucking market and freight rates are starting to show signs of life, HOWEVER, does that mean that the trucking is finally turning? Or is it just seasonal pressures that we are seeing right now?

Thank you for your videos. I sit in my truck at a truck stop, stewing about sitting and constantly having my bids rejected. Its demoralizing but I stick to my guns and know what my truck and service is worth. Only way this market is going to turn is if people stop running for peanuts or get out of the industry.

I parked my truck two years ago. There is no reason to compete with people that do not know how to run a business... I can pick up my number in 30 days after the market turned back up.

Me personally, I’m not so much concerned with the rate per mile as I am the gross per week anymore. Since I’ve changed that mindset, I’ve actually been more profitable than I ever have. And yes, this includes 2020 and 2021. I have found that sometimes it’s better to take a low rate to get to a better rate and keep the truck moving. But if you’re asking about my rate per mile, I’m averaging $2.20 per mile at about 13,000 miles per month

Fuel goes up and rates go up slightly.. used to be the market kept up with fuel.. nowadays they can post anything and some Ahole will take it… say NO to cheap freight folks!! Only solution.. love your videos 👍

Brokers are being replaced by AI a lot of the time when I email I get a instant ai generated response with the details asking for my MC once I give my mc the bot says their rate and asks for my rate. The people working at these brokerage companies will be replaced with AI alot sooner than truckers being replaced to self driving.

I drive for a huge trucking company. We are slow with freight. Here in laredo and many other truckers have been at truck stop for 1.5 days

What I like about this season is that this year we don’t see a significant RPM difference between three trailer types what helps to prevents high trailer migration wave keep appropriate balance balance amongst them. I do believe that this is another important indicator of market steadily getting ready to moon )

I appreciate all the great information that you give us. Something that I would ask, though as you go through the financials is that you take out the years during the pandemic(2020-2023) My removing those years, we would get a truer picture of what the freight market is doing in normal economy. In the financial acumen world this is called normalizing you remove the highs and lows to get a more normal feel of what’s going on

Trucking is seasonal is just a temp thing it will stall for a bit, then it will pick up in again, take dip before the holidays, and then go up a bit like it has always done.

@kingloc6042 National debt is 100% of gdp(27 trillion). Unemployment is 4.1 % , and credit card debt is highest in human history.....maybe if you're on food stamps it's good for you, but for the working class it sucks

@ryanhale8013 Unemployment was 6.3% when Trump was in office. It's at a record low now. No... I'm not on food stamps. I'm working class and I don't subscribe to your horror stories. The national debt thing is a myth... plus, your numbers are wrong. National debt is $34 trillion as of this post.

Good presentations. I enjoy the Channel, however you usually claim that when Fuel rises it's not good. It is good if Fuel Prices rise because it helps bring up the Spot Rates. (If a truck's MPG isn't above about 6mpg-6.5mpg, then yes higher Fuel Prices can be considered a bad thing but if it's over about 6mpg-6.5mpg than it's a good thing.) 😉

From what that map says Texas is the place we're most truck companies are located?? I use to live in Midland Texas but most of family lived in Dallas/ Ft Worth.They did quite well in trucking and other endeavors.

Chairman Powell said 1 rate cut is coming. So, I would say another year. The fact that they wanna cut rates means we are doing better as a country economically. 2026 if not late 2025 depending on how many rate cuts we get in 2025.

What about container traffic. Container traffic is lower for us in San Antonio TX. The rail road is making things more difficult for container traffiic.

I think that the economy needs to get better- the inflation needs to go down, interest rates need to be cut, consumer sentiment needs to be better.

Could be that it is seasonal but bottom line is we need to get the bs out of the industry and we all know who they are in order to knock the brokers off there cheap 1.05 a mile pearch. Like the guy on tik tock that shows some of the load boards and they'll have something on there with 3 pick ups or 3 stops going 2200 miles for 1800 dollars that's the kinda junk that needs to stop .

I'll take the bump, whatever the reason. We're investing more into ourselves to make our operations more efficient and to gain more business, but otherwise playing it very careful. Definitely no unnecessary expenditures and we're paying down debt asap.
