Thanks for joining one of my video on today’s video I show you how to cross the channel from Calais to Dover on a Dfds boat. With a quick understanding of the process on how to get a ticket pass through French passport control through the scanners and onto the boat.

You asked for all the acronym for all the documents CMR - Consignment note with a set of standard transport & liability conditions MRN - Customs Identification Number for importing & exporting goods GMR - Goods Movement Reference EIDR - Entry in the Declarants Record (for certain goods) ATA - passports for goods that are tax free or duty free TIR - Transports Internationaux Routiers The GMR & MRN are linked and used by Customs by a term ‘ Goods Vehicle Movement Service’ which shows the goods are Pre lodged with Customs and all import/Exports taxes are paid.
