Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will be gathering with NATO leaders today to mark the 75th anniversary of the defensive alliance as Russia escalates its aggression towards Ukraine.
The ongoing battle in Ukraine will top the agenda of the three-day summit following Russian missile attacks which left death and destruction, including at a large children's hospital in Kyiv

Where’s our tax dollars going? They’re finding new ways to tax us every week, about half of what we earn is taxed in one way or another. We are not getting better services.. we are getting less as well as less quality services. All this tax and our lives are not any better. In fact they are worse. I know tax dollars are used to fund ridiculous projects all over the world, but what about the rest?

Are you ready to find an extra 30 billion dollars per year (on top of the 36 billion currently spent) while raising that alongside a growing GDP? Good luck doing that without raising taxes at least 10%-20% on all brackets

I think the most interesting part is we can EASILY make efforts to meet spending requirements without buying a single bullet as any tangential defense spending counts, including: Military housing, pension, and benefits! How hard is it for the current Liberal government that is mired with a housing crisis on every voters mind, to just build houses for our numerous homeless active service members? Win-win-win! But I guess that's too hard as well...

Canada's GDP for 2023 was about $2.142 trillion CDN🇨🇦 ... a third of California's. To reach the 2% commitment would redirect over $42 billion annually towards NATO. If Canada is willing to do it then our military will be more than just a reminder of tradition and valor. Our last efforts in Afghanistan were honorable yet forgotten too soon.😔
