It comes down to the materials used, the manufacturing process of the metals used, the type of seals and oil used, then it comes down to the science of “stiction”, I feel personally that fox shocks will last longer than king, I think king has a little bit less stiction which means will flow better but the seals will leak quicker, Fox has stronger metals and I think better seals for example the shaft won’t chip as easily as king, they are both good shocks, also a lot of fox for example there are 2.5 and 3.0 shocks have high speed and low speed compression dampening as king only has one adjustment, I don’t know why they don’t add rebound adjustment because then we could tune our own shocks the way we want, but again they are both good high-quality shocks but I feel overall Fox in the long run is better. I think we’re going to start seeing big changes with adjustability in the near future something along the line as self adjusting shocks like on the bronco raptor there’s companies testing these now and that would be awesome.

Objectively False: Fox uses higher temp rated oil, higher viscosity oil. They have higher tensile strength piston rods. They also have Viton seals where King uses Duron. Fox also has MORE seals and wipers than King. All verifiable facts. ON top of that Fox offers Dual Speed Compression where King only offers 1 level of compression. So....

Alex I am gonna gonna go with true. So I just switched my front end on my tacoma to king 2.5 ext. coilovers and chaos LCAs, already the uppers. I had bo51 one complete suspension kit on it b4! SO YES IT WAY FRICKEN BETTER. I need to back done. Can I get 3.0 king exts on the back or should I stick with 2.5 exts since they’re on the front? On my 2014 tacoma Ted sport. Spffffff I am poor I cannot afford a bronco!

False. Fox 2.5 has low and high speed compression which King doesn't. Which is a big plus but if you aren't running 35's on a bronco with fox 2.5 with DSC the ride will be harsher than if you had 37's. In all other application if you have a light rig I will choose fox 2.5 with DSC all day over king.
