Charles Haddon (C.H.) Spurgeon (June 19, 1834 January 31, 1892) was a British Reformed Baptist preacher who remains highly influential among Christians of different denominations, among whom he is still known as the "Prince of Preachers." In his lifetime, Spurgeon preached to around 10,000,000 people, often up to 10 times a week at different places. His sermons have been translated into many languages. Spurgeon was the pastor of the New Park Street Chapel in London for 38 years. In 1857, he started a charity organization called Spurgeon's which now works globally. He also founded Spurgeon's College, which was named after him after his death.
Spurgeon was a prolific author of many types of works including sermons, an autobiography, a commentary, books on prayer, a devotional, a magazine, and more. Many sermons were transcribed as he spoke and were translated into many languages during his lifetime. Arguably, no other author, Christian or otherwise, has more material in print than C.H. Spurgeon.

Pastor Charles Spurgeon wrote such great enduring sermons. I know he never could have imagined people regularly listening to and reading his sermons in the year 2020 on a little personal computer/ communicator called an IPhone. His sermon are as relevant today as they were in his day, Easy to understand and right on topic for the world we live in. Thank you for sharing this sermon with us. God bless you!

God walked with me when I was dead alive, I felt the presence of dead as I walked the streets. But Jesus knocked the door of my heart and little by little I became more and more curious about the existence of a God. Thank you Lord!!! I want to do your will!!! I want my prayers the desires of my heart to align with your plan for my life!!!!! I love you God!! Thank you Jesus!!!

I speak to the Lord as if He was with me...He has delivered me from many serious illnesses...autoimmune..allowed loved ones to survive serious auto accidents, and too many answered prayers to count.. He changed my life..He is my LIFE.

Wow you may have a gift for prayer!! Can U pray for strangers? If so would u pray for me and my fiancé - we are both believers but struggling - he is struggling with addictions to alcohol and drugs - and mental stress of anxiety and disorganization Trying hard on his own and also giving credit to god but one foot in and one foot out - I am struggling in my Faith bc of feeling like hell is too cruel of a punishment and feeling distant -- I want to grow in my Faith and i want to see my Fiancé freed from chains that have had him since his adolescence. We both have family Trauma - that’s not helpful My name is Imani Teague - his name is Israel Portales Torres- he is in Havana cuba. I am Here with him but also live in USA Thank you so much

And he shall set the solitary in famiiies… that's what I earnestly pray for - for the elderly, sickly and homeless... anyone who is alone and needs you father. That they find love and Jesus in their life - bc I know we can find you even if we haven't been witnessed to - you can still find us. My heart cries out for the people in this world who don't know you yet and for the ones who do know you but are not awake to what is happening and not seeing the signs of your very soon return. Lastly I pray for myself Lord that I get closer and closer to you and get to know you better and better until the day we meet. God bless everyone who reads this post! Amen!

I always had this question in my mind, on how to pray ,to me praying was so difficult I wasnt sure if I was praying enough or am I praying right ,but after hearing Charles spurgeon, I am not afraid anymore, now I want to pray even more ,now I can pray from my heart, such power in his sermon, thank you lord that even today Charles words still has power to bring change

I've been Serving the Lord for so many years and I've had my struggles with consistensy in prayer. So many times have felt guilty for not praying enough and not asking because didnt think i deserve to receive anything and this is a glass of cold fresh water for my thirsty soul. This may be the best sermon on prayer I've ever heard in my life. What is amazing, I was praying earlier, Lord please teach me how to pray... Then a little later this video came up. This man Pastor Charles Spurgeon is no doubt anointed still in 2021 even! Glory to the Lord Jesus Christ !

On my way to the University of Essex, I would pass the front door of Charles Spurgeon's home which bears a plaque on the outside in Kelvedon, Essex with his name - the proximity of a mere stone throw away from my home in Witham, Essex...What is so sad is the fact that had #CharlesSpurgeon to awake from his dusty bed to see the condition in Britain today & even his hometown - he would ask God if his works of righteousness while alive were to no avail... What a #BlessedSaint & #MessengerOfGod...

Jesus Christ sets us free as we continue in His Word. Bondage comes from the world's desires. Forsake them, move that mountain of unbelief, cast off that filthy garment, be washed in His blood, and receive Him.

Mark ch11 v24 I spent some time in my youth in the word-faith movement. This verse was abused and misused continually as if it were a magician’s incantation. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for taking me out of that corruption and into your family.

I prayed to go visit my God Mother in an assisted living facility. My prayers were answered beyond my request as wisdom was passed on to me to go with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Best trip ever!

Thank you so much for bringing back this preaching of Pastor Charles Spurgeon. I have always wondered what his preaching was like and now in 2022 I am listening to it with tears in my eyes. My spirit is nourished by the wonderful truths that he gave to his own congregation in the 1800’s. It is amazing these truths are still applicable today. God’s word is truly always relevant.
