Correct. The play-by-play announcer is Allen Bestwick, who was a NASCAR radio and TV announcer for over 20 years. He's been calling other sports for ESPN since the network dumped NASCAR after the 2014 season. The color commentator is Dan Hawkins, who is actually not related to NASCAR. He was the head coach for Boise State and then Colorado in the 2000's.

And then that year they lost 3 in a row, starting with a loss to a below .500 Pitt team and then a blowout loss to Clemson, and then another bad loss to Wisconsin in the orange bowl, and continual sadness. Actually I'd have to give my favorite hurricane game to when I got to go to the Russell Athletic Bowl against West Virginia. They called off 2 interceptions on Dukes "go ahead" drive that if called as they should've, would've made this play moot. The refs were absolutely terrible all game and it's only fitting that there's biggest screw up gave it to the team that should've won anyway. They were suspended for the following week by The ACC. Conferences govern their refs not necessarily the NCAA.

As one of the few Duke football fans, I am still pissed that the refs for taking 15 minutes to review the play and not see the numerous problems. The most obvious one that triggers me is the extra man on the field. Although the referees were banned from the ACC, I believe that Duke deserved that win.

@@jckdnls9292 It doesn't matter the circumstances even the announcers knew that was a clear block in the back they tried to pretend they didn't see it but made an "oooh" noise when they first saw it. Clearest block in the back on the play, all others looked fairly clean to me.

2015 had a lot of crazy plays. This, MSU vs. Michigan, Georgia Tech, I remember watching one other crazy play the first week or two as well but can't remember the team. Ole Miss vs. someone I think...

Arkansas, the one dude that caught the ball on the long 4th down threw it behind him, it got to the running back who fumbled the ball after converting the 4th down but the Razorbacks still recovered

All of these comments about the runners knee being down and blocks in the back and the refs getting suspended. How about the fact that Miami had 194 yards in penalties to Duke's 41. Even if they were legitimate calls (which they weren't ), how can anyone say that Duke was robbed? Miami had 3 consecutive pass interference calls on Duke's last drive but you didn't see any Miami coaches complaining. For the ACC to suspend those refs is ridiculous. They claim that the refs missed 3 calls on the last play. Really??? So, they didn't look at the other 20 plus flags that were thrown. No officiating crew see's everything. The only reason it's an issue is because it's Miami. If this were Alabama , Ohio St or FSU this never would've been an issue. It just would've been called 1 of the greatest plays in college football. Say what you will, Miami won the game despite all you haters.

This was the PERFECT ending. Refs clearly had an agenda and had been blowing calls all game. It's only fitting that the one blown call in our favor helps us win AND makes them look like Idiots in the process. Not to mention that Duke fans feel robbed. The same way I was feeling about 10 seconds before this play happened. All is right with the world.
