@@KristenHammerback-pk5wy His wife being murdered is horrendous, no one is disputing that - but to bring your own little child into it all, to give yourself more credibility, is another horrendous act on top of an already horrible situation. It's not that we don't care about the murdered woman, who had hopes, dreams and a life, but it's just especially shocking that this cruel man would let his son find his dead mother.

And to do this on the Lord's day (Sunday) as well. It's like thumbing your nose at the Almighty. What great advertising for this church as well to have it's picture flashed periodically in this episode. We all have sin and we all fall short at times but this is so callous and so premeditated that prison is the proper place for him. God forgives us but He doesn't exempt us from the punishment on earth. In fact, I think He desires even more to see those who preach His name face punishment when they break the law.

@@itsahellofaname That's true, unfortunately, but I also think for these self-obsessed people that their image is incredibly important; getting a divorce means that all the dirty laundry is laid bare for the community to see, while being a grieving widower means support and sympathy, attention. In similar cases where the prep is a woman, they also claim that a divorce would look,' bad for them', but are OK with murder, even with, 'deep religious faith', so it's not just divorce court.

That having been said, SO MANY PEOPLE who work in my profession try REALLY hard to make everyone aware of their “faith” by covering their work trucks in Bible verses and Jesus fish logos in a shameless attempt at convincing potential clients that they are honest and trustworthy contractors. From my personal experience, the more someone pushes this representation of themselves, the more likely that they are the exact opposite of what they are trying so hard to project out to the world.

The child's words about remarrying are the biggest clue that this was sinister. He probably heard or saw the father speaking to or spending time with other women. At some point before this happened - when the father & son were alone - the father probably said to the boy something about remarrying if something bad happened to his mommy. Kids remember everything.

Well seeing him with other women is like saying the sky is blue even when it rains. He was a couples counselor, I am sure he ran into his clients while out in the real world with his own family. I get what you mean but on the other hand it's not a real well thought out point considering his profession.
@tkdb317
@tkdb317 9 ай бұрын
@dverarde84 "Seeing him with other women" was clearly a euphemism. We all understand the context when a child that age specifically uses the word "remarry". Young children generally think in terms 'a new mommy', not 'a new spouse for my father'. Clearly, he had some sense of something wrong between his parents that had nothing to do with father's profession. Furthermore, that his child's mind went straight to his father getting a new wife before wondering about a life without a mother speaks volumes.

My lovely husband died of cancer when our sons were around the age of this boy. One of them is pretty OK but the other has never really recovered. The trauma of having your mother murdered would be even worse. That this man exposed his son to his mother's death scene is so evil and reveals the man's total lack of love or compassion to both his wife and that poor little boy.

You could hear it in his voice, asking his dad why would his mother shoot herself. That was heart wrenching! It made sense to me. That is something kids have to think about after one parent dies or their parents divorce. After her divorce, my mom sat down with my brother and me so we could talk about the possibility of her dating and how we all felt about it. She ultimately decided not to so she could focus on healing from the divorce, her education and career, and parenting us. But most of my friends whose parents divorced didn't get that. They just had to accept whatever their parent(s) chose to do, and there can be a lot of negative outcomes with stepparents. Some of my friends were molested by stepparents, some were kicked out of the house by them. Those were worse case scenarios, but generally you can expect at least some tension and awkwardness. If this kid had friends who told him about bad experiences with their stepmoms, it makes sense to me that that would be one of the first things he asks.

Especially her son and her dogs. You never saw her down or upset she just always had a big smile on her face. There was just something unique and special about the way she made you feel important. Just for the record it shows Christ is risen! and Celebrate Easter on the outside church board. Anyone that knows us knows we don't celebrate Easter because it is a pagan holiday. The church was "UNITED CHURCH OF GOD" not United Church of Christ. We never gathered for church in an actual church we always rented a hall for church services. I now attend the "Restored Church of God" with the same basic principals but we follow Mr. Herbert Armstrong's teachings. It is not our place to judge, that is God's job and he will have to come before God and answer for his crime. This is what one person had to say in the comments " Boondocks Dragon - "In every picture, she's got this infectious smile. You don't even have to have known her to see that she was a light in this world. What a shame. Heartbreaking." Thank you for letting me vent. so the picture of the church - united church of christ is wrong. They may have used it for the video. Amy and her family and you attended the united church of God. This is very interesting. Is it correct that the United Church of GOD while not celebrating the pagan festivals also do not recognize the Infilling of The HOLY SPIRIT with the Evidence of speaking in other Tongues as set out in Acts 2, 10:44-48, 19:1-6? I have been looking for a church that did not celebrate the pagan festivals of easter, christmas etc. and came across the United Church of God but understood they did not believe in The POWER that The LORD JESUS referred to in Acts 1:8, Luke 24:49 manifested in Acts 2. Your comment is somewhat older. I hope you will see this comment to answer or maybe someone else who is familiar with the church. I have prayed in Tongues (1Corinthians 14:2, 4, Romans 8:26-27) for around 30 years with several supernatural events and prayer answers including full healing of a hereditary heart condition, This was AFTER the INITIAL Infilling/Baptism of The HOLY SPIRIT with First the evidence of speaking in Tongues. Read Acts 2:36-39.

Not necessarily. I'm a 911 operator and we regularly tell people to do basic things they forget in an emergency. Turning hazards on when they're in the middle of the road and can't move is a big one, but checking on breathing status is too.

Stephen is just so cold and none emotional . When he talks to the 911 and to the detectives investigating the case . Then it comes out to light the he only had one affair with a women named Michelle , yet their were a total of 3 … The saddest thing is that his young son at the time walked in to find his mother dead . Stephen didn’t care about anyone but himself.

@@welcomebacktoanotherepisod8542, I was about to say something similar. People (not all, I do know some good Priests) become priests so that they can hide behind the church and the sanctity of confession. Until the "higher ups" of each Church come together and make it clear that using the church to commit their crimes is unlawful and unacceptable, these tragic stories will continue to happen
