Good Vlog Zohair! Just a few things I would like to correct: 1) The RD was NEVER imported in India. Even the first bike that rolled out the Escorts factory in Faridabad (a 20 min ride from my home) had more than 95 per cent Indian content. It had to be: the tooling was done way before the bike was launched. 😃The Made In Japan engravings you see on some casings comprise one of the only few parts that were sourced from Japan. 2) Yes, Escorts skipped the disc for cost, but the bike's front drum wasn't bad. It had a twin-lead system unlike the common single-lead drum brakes you see on some bikes even today! 3) It's a myth that RD stood for Race Derived. Yes, that is in fact the biggest myth when it comes to RD. Google RD vs R3 and the first result will be an article that talks about it in detail. 4) The RD wasn't discontinued in Japan or elsewhere in 76 due to emission norms. They just moved on to the RD 400, RD500, and to the LCs finally before the eventual demise of street two strokes globally. A situation not dissimilar to the RX series in India which started from the 100 and then ended with the RXZ 5-Speed, and then four-strokes took over. In both cases, the bikes that came later on were more powerful, refined, etc. but just like the RX-100 in India, it's the air-cooled RD350 (and not the 400) that did a lot of things first (like beating four-strokes twice its engine size on racetracks and B-roads) and is therefore a global legend. 😃 Regards, Syed Shiraz '83 RD350 HT, '88 RD350 LT, '95 RX-100, '73 Jawa 250

Point system is the old distributor type ignition system(usually found on cars before bs3). Once you get used to it, it gets pretty easy to work on.

Finally RD, zohair bhai checkout the ktm 300 exc tpi dirtbike, it is a 2 stroke but the injector is placed inside the transfer port, not street legal though but Royal Jordanian from London rides one in supermoto spec and is street legal.

hie bro I AM from bombay . love your commentary you always doo in english and hyderabadi language. i always enjoy your bike reviews , my dad was in army in higher lieutenant post . that time i wasnt born . my mom and dad went to japan . over there he falled in love with yamaha and imported RD350 RD350 LC RD400 TO INDIA . i am 32 right now . when i became 18 he gifted me his 2 love RD350 LC . AND WHEN I became 25 he gifted me his RD400 .... i daily ride those 2 bikes to office . i have ported those 2 bikes and it throws 10% emission smoke earlier it use to throw 90% . and dad said i am keeping and this will be my personal bike RD350 HC . bcoz he enjoys the raw power and yes all 3 bike have front and back brakes . he imported 2004 . even i am a government job worker ( i am sanitory inspector ) from past 3 years . thats i wanted to share thiss ..... love your channel

I had an rxg-135 and it has been with me for around 5-6 years and i literally used to talk with it 😂 Raat ke 2 baje spark plug haat dedeta ( thodi dur challe pls paidal nakko karr kal bhaithreen service karatu 🤣🤣🤭 aur kabi kabi chal b jaati thi 😂 RX series are something more than bikes it takes lots of care and precautions Agar kuch b upar niche kare aadi raat ku pidal kardeti Insha Allah in future I'll own a set of all RX series I love them more than these new gen bikes Literally aansu aagae awaaz sunke 😅😅
