In this Slay the Spire gameplay, Baalorlord does an Ascension 20 run with Watcher. First, he gives tips on choosing a path and a starting bonus. Later on, he explains his decision for each card he chooses and why it's important to the build. Towards the end, he gears up for an epic Heart fight you don't want to miss. I use a few mods for Slay the Spire. All of them are Quality-of-Life improvements and do not have any effect on the gameplay. Here are all of the mods I have active:
Slay the Relics Exporter, used for the live stream: steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...
Relic Stats, to keep track of how many times the relic effects happened: steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...
UI Sliders, to reposition the Discard and Exhaust piles, so that they are not hidden behind the camera: steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...
Run History Plus, giving us more info in the Run Summary screen about the run: steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...
Map Marks, for path highlighting - here, typically, Green means an easy, intended path, and Orange or Red means a harder path that I might take if I get good rewards: github.com/casey-c/mapmarks

NGL i'm kinda mad at the editor for not keeping the part at the end where Baalor acknowledges that a custom "Mastery Challenge Completed!" victory screen was made by the modder

Video title is also disappointing. This is a run that's been in the works for almost a year or smthn and it's just another generic "so strong" title instead of smthn like "mastery challenge complete!". I can't help but think the only people that will watch this already know it's significance.

I watched the Mastery run the whole time it was going this year and it was such good content. Taught me some more things about the game and has inspired me to take some non-optimal choices when it comes to cards and relics. I can't want to see what the next challenge is if/when you do another one.

I am clearly a novice because taking Pyramid when we’re intending to keep multiple curses in our deck seems wild 😂😂. I guess it clogs your hand but does not waste any subsequent draws for the curse, so it might be upside if you can empty your hand! (And we had 4 energy already)

In decent at this game... or so I thought. But some of the synergies I'm seeing, and some of the play lines this guy sees blow my mind. He's doing a20 mastering all these cards and still putting together crazy runs.
