The federal judge ruled that the sheriff, deputies and commissioners are “personally liable”. Any judgement comes out of their own pocket, not the taxpayers.

The other commissioner who ordered her to be arrested should be fired. The officers ordered to carry out this order need retrained at minimum. A very clear cut example of abusing power.

And stripped 'qualified immunity' from the sheriff & his deputies as well as the 2 councilmen who ordered her arrest for speaking... the charges were dropped against her. She is pursuing multiple lawsuits for violation of rights in which the police & councilmen will be PERSONNALLY liable for - not the taxpayers...He wrote a 91 page rebuke of their actions.... They didn't like the fact that she was (as council woman) calling the police out for denying medical care to her son while he was incarcerated...and to the on-going indifference of care they were showing other inmates in their custody....

I live about 20-30 minutes away from there. You don’t mess with Trumbull county. EVERYONE knows they are dirty and a threat. I’m glad they decided to show their true colors on camera so the whole country can see who they truly are.

That needs to stop maybe that would be a big help in keeping cops on the right side of the law all the way through. They're not worried about risking jail time themselves but maybe if you're going to keep back their retirement that they don't deserve it would make a difference. One bad cop makes more bad cops

It's not a Federal crime if the disruption happened in a state or county meeting. Besides, people interrupt state, county and municipal meeting all the time and nothing drastic happens after the cops take them away. PS: The report didn't give any indication what the whole issue was about, and whether she was disrupting or instead standing up for herself. I have no idea who the good guy and the bad guy are in this report.

Cause Unless it happened before what I watched NO ONE said a word about her being disruptive and she was Answering a QUESTION that had already been made in the meeting … She could have whispered her remarks and STILL would have been arrested … THE SHERIFF NEEDS to be Investigated

Good for you! Standing up for yourself and beliefs. It's very difficult to remain in a very calm manner when nobody is listening to you and ignoring you. It's a natural thing everybody does when they feel disrespected and ignored. Good for you!! Plus, it was only a minor misdemeanor. It's not going to cause any issues at all in life. Just a small fine from your bank account! Well worth it in my opinion!!

If the restitution for a crime, is an apology, then when they refused to apologize, you call them a mean name, not throw them in prison, the punishment needs to fit the crime, the crime was refusal to apologize, and they put cuffs on her and put her in prison, civil suit against the person who put cups on them, false imprisonment and blah blah blah the whole 9 yards on that guy, and then the council person who didn’t like it either they all should’ve stood up and defended her
