We already do the microphone cut-off thing here in Indonesian presidential debates. It works fantastic. I don't know why you wouldn't do it all the time; any candidate's speaking time should be 100% respected no matter who they are.

I stopped watching’TV’ many years ago. KZfaq is my main source of video entertainment. Watching this on KZfaq right now. Will never have cable Tv ever again. It’s over for the tv networks unless they fully adapt to streaming. I also haven’t watched a commercial in just as many years. When I do see one at someone else’s house, I can’t stand them or believe I ever was able to sit through so many.
