I was at my local gym while his speech was being aired on some of the TV monitors. Normally, when there is something of interest on the TV's (breaking news, a ballgame, etc.), people will interrupt their workouts to watch for at least a few moments. Not once did I see any one so much as glance at the monitors. I live in a pretty Red district of metro Phoenix, so based on my anecdotal experience, even the MAGA crowd seems to be moving on from Trump.

That’s scary that people were blocked from leaving but they did go there of their own free choice. I remember falling for something similar back in the 1970’s when I attended a lecture here in town that was billed as a Documentary about the city’s history. But it wasn’t long and it turned into a recruiting process for a local weirdo church. I began to leave with my friends and we were told we weren’t allowed to leave at the door because we had reserved seats. Two of us said we wanted to use the restroom and when we came out we made a mad dash for the door and got out. When we got out we called the police from a phone booth and when they arrived we explained that our other friends were still being held inside against their will. It wasn’t long and the Police were everywhere and they broke up that travesty. This is what your dealing with when it comes to authoritarian people. They think they have the right to rule over you with impunity and if you allow them to get away with it they will eventually OWN you.

I have never been to a funeral where ppl were excited. Have u really? Trump was always a Democrat and great friends with democratic elite until he ran in 2016. He set things up nicely for the take over in 2020 .... made the right very passive in their belief he had their back. And they had him come out early bc desantis is not controlled opposition and his support base was growing too much
