It's totally out of bounds for members of Congress to interfere in a court case. The legislative branch has no right to. And showing up, speaking to the press outside, slandering the judge, the jury, and the prosecutors, plus the witness - and then taking up a lot of space in the courtroom where the public is meant to be - all of that is major interference, in the form of intimidation, rejection of authority, etc. They should face censure ASAP, but I have not heard a thing.

Essentially, they broke their oath to uphold the Constitution, which makes the judiciary branch a co-equal of the legislative branch, eg Congress, and the executive branch, eg the president. They literally attacked the judiciary and defamed it before the public, slandering individual judges and prosecutors! They also helped Trump break his gag order and intimidate the witness and the jury, if not the judge, with all that slander about him - but the prosecution probably could care less right now.

In the sixty-plus years you have been paying attention to politics, have you ever seen a prosecutor pulled-up a misdemeanor, that had passed the Statue of limitations, coupled it with a nondescriptive crime and charged a candidate running for president? No, the gag order only applies to Trump. But TRUMP could be put in jail for causing the violation by proxy. Also, the Constitution protects the speech of members of Congress more than regular citizens, for the purpose of free and fair political debate. It would be very hard to arrest them for anything they say in public unless their words are themselves criminal.
