@@jmnny85 I have been watching SNL since the First Season, in 1975 and it never gets old. Sometimes the Sketch "misses" the mark, but the Show has an ability to constantly "reinvent" itself each week, with a new host and then every few years, with a new Cast. For nearly Half a Century, SNL has been a part of my Weekend. Imagine a three or four hour "SNL Reunion" with Chevy Chase, Eddie Murphy, etc? Check out his Better Call Saul episode from Season 4. He’s a sweetheart. He plays an employee in a Money Wire store and interacts with a “good” guy and then a bad guy comes in to find out what the good guy wanted. It’s a small role but you get to see him be a cordial by the book employee to a sympathetic break the rules employee to a terrified employee.

You have something there. The first ensemble cast of the avante garde Saturday Night Live excelled at nuanced humor, wit, satire, timing, every episode treated with the excitement of the first, and with the excellence necessary, in case it were the last. They were never stilted, never contrived. They did what nobody dared do, nobody could do, but these pioneers. Certain subsequest casts and members tried too hard, trying to force us to enjoy, trying to fit the popular mold, and they fell short. This sketch has done what the originals did, did the bold, the excellent, the daring, with the believability that swept us in as partners in the world of that moment. They did it so handily, as best described by the _Tao Te Ching:_ "The Master never has to try hard, because he already _is_ what he needs to be." Yes!
