The free market was destroyed by insurance companies which essentially work like the NHS where the people dont see the true cost of the bills so the prices go up. If you look at “health” related industries in the US that arent covered by insurance, such as dermatology or vision, the prices and the wait times are low and the quality of care is much better than we get here
