Polls are supposed to reflect public sentiment on a given issue but in recent years for sure and likely for generations some polls are meant to influence that public sentiment if not creating it outright. I have a ton of republican friends that are non maga cult members and no poll that has been out in the media over the last 9 years incompasses their viewpoints. It is more like the opinion of 7 or 8 people is squelled by the opinion of 2 or 3, those 2 or 3 actually running the particular poll. It is not a reflection of majority sentiment. But that's where we are now with the crazies running the asylum
