I don’t think it’s so much the age as the willingness to see yourself as above the law, disrespecting of all protocols & institutions, the attempt to use the position to enrich yourself, the disregard for other people’s lives etc. I think 50 year old Trump would have been a very similar President, just without the possible slipping into dementia madness. This is actually true but many forget because it gets drowned out in all the other things Trump does. Remember his attorney Cohen who is serving jail time. Trump is an indicted co-conspirator in the case. Literally, if he loses the election he gets arrested and goes to trial. Trying to find an impartial jury will probably be impossible, but that is one of just many crimes he has committed that he should be in jail for.

@@shockadelica8661 @Shocka Delica: Yes, part of the elaborate defense mechanism that is Narcissistic Personality Disorder is that if all other excuses/manipulative behaviors have failed, they play the victim. They will do anything to avoid responsibility. His false self/construct is all he has to protect him from his true feelings of being defective. So they will defend themselves to the end, no matter what the evidence. Along with the fact that people with NPD/BPD (borderline) have been shown to have less gray matter, an actual brain deficit as shown in FMRI's, he literally does not have the capacity for much empathy which is what forms the basis of conscience and lets you know when you have done something wrong. All together this helps me understand how Trump can claim he doesn't think he's done anything wrong. What is scary is how many of his supporters don't think he's done anything wrong either. It is scary to think we have mass group narcissism in T's followers, but given their scapegoating of immigrants, women, lgbtq, minorities and so on, it is hard to argue against it. Point is that we have a bigger problem with this aside from Trump.

As a Canadian I watch 'a closer look' to get my updates on the dumb things your president gets up to. I know that i'm essentially asking an echo chamber, but how the hell does he still have so many supporters, people are just that blind to party lines, that all his horribleness is ignored? As a conservative in Canada, I kind of get it, our PM is a crook too (but at a much lesser rate), and half the country loves him also, so I guess we are no better, but Trump is worse, even I can admit that. Also, I will never forgive this POS for the killings of 63 Canadians that just so happen to be on the wrong plane at the wrong time, and were the victims basically of his war crimes. If most of them would have been white, this would have been a bigger deal, and that is truly sad. 4 more years of Trump could lead to the deterioration of some of the most loyal and long alliances the US have ever had, and if WW3 does ever happen, it just might be the world against the US. Scary to think about. I went from a kid who dreamed of one day living somewhere in the sunny USA to a grown man that if I never set foot in the US again, that would be fine by me. I feel sorry for all the level headed, rational Americans, it truly must be a nightmare to anyone that cares.

I’m a Canadian living in Texas. It’s baffling that so many people support him but they only get their news from Fox so they don’t know the actual facts. It’s very disheartening and frustrating. Hopefully there will be a wave of blue in 2020 to get rid of him and his sycophants. Our young people seem to be overwhelmingly Democrat and maybe this bodes well for our government in 15 years. Until Drumpf is impeached or voted out the rest of us remain stressed and frustrated. Cheers!

If it were just a nightmare, it would be something silly we could wake up from and pat ourselves on the back from to be reassured that everything was still okay. That is definitely not the case here, my Canadian friend. I'm not conservative, but I can respect a general difference in opinion. Matter of fact, any of the other conservative republicans we've ever had would be preferable right now, and that includes Nixon. Nixon was a horrible crook, but he was actually smart and he did a few good things while he was in office. But Trump, this fascist idiot, is going to get everybody killed.
