Күн бұрынFormer U-S President Donald Trump has been wounded in what the FBI is calling an assassination attempt.
He was on the campaign trail in the town of Butler, Pennsylvania, addressing a crowd at an open-air rally, when gunshots rang out. The Secret Service says the shooter opened fire from the roof of a nearby building. The suspect was less than 150 meters from the stage, on which Trump was speaking.
The FBI is leading the investigation into the incident.

It's been like that since Trump made president. The USA was downgraded from 'full democracy' to 'flawed democracry' and has kept the classification ever since. Not directly because of either Trump or Biden, but because of the waning trust in democratic institutions. That said, I don't think Trump improved the situation any with his unsubstantiated claims of election fraud.

As I understood the guy that was interviewed by a BBC reporter stated that "no, they could not see him directly but we were pointing to where he was on the roof". Seems the shooter had chosen to lie in an angle to the police /security forces that prevented them from directly seeing him. Makes sense to me.

Decline .. possibly, probably? But, decline to what? That's still to come. MAGAs want to return to some mystical US that never really existed. Leftist/socialists want to develop some kind of utopia that rainbows, flowers, and unicorns will reign. That's also wishful thinking. Looking at Norway, Sweden, Denmark as some landmark to aspire to ... well, anyway well before the migration difficulties .. is nonsensical. The US is not homogeneous as the Nord countries. It certainly is one of its strengths .. ie, the amalgamation of cultures ... but it won't be enough. Something, some new 'thesis' will emerge but the country will fundamentally change, and not totally for the good.

Trump's perilous escape from this near-death experience certainly invokes a lot of emotional support for him, both in terms of compassionate outpouring of relief that he at his senior age still maintains so much fighting spirit, determination and courage to stand in front of a podium, giving rallying speeches for the upcoming elections as an Ex-President of the USA despite being previously convicted by the Judge for crimes that await sentencing as well as impassioned beliefs from this bloody ordeal that he is not a person faint of heart, and will certainly strengthen American Nationalistic ideals if voted in once again as the US President for the next term, albeit with a stained, felony record. Certainly, his vote count will increase tremendously from this very sensational international news vs President Joe Biden's, whose weakening mental acuity and frail disposition since taking office place him at a serious danger to the security of the USA as a country of greatest military might, governing as the world's 'policeman'.
