Chump, A.I. is everywhere all of a sudden and Jimmy’s friend Jake Tapper has been making A.I. paintings of him, there is a new song by “Drake” and “The Weeknd” that was largely created by artificial intelligence, and Trump pays tribute to “The Phantom of Opera.”

I really wish the Fox v Dominion case had gone to trial. I would have liked to see the pundits on the stand explaining themselves. I'm sad about the ongoing issues with Southwest Airlines. I don't see how. There was a camera ban in the courtroom, Fox would have appealed for years, Federal Judges generally reduce large payouts (so there is a high chance Dominion would have gotten less), all they could get was financial compensation and to me the worst would have been the harassment and threats towards any Dominion employees that would have to go testify. I don't see how this outcome is any different than if they went to trial especially with all the information that has already been released. Now there is the potential for others to use this lawsuit and settlement towards a lawsuit of their own who don't have the pockets of a company worth $80 million.

Trust, credibility, and so on takes forever to earn back... and if their services are suddenly frowned upon by even more people, forget profits, their entire livelihood is now at risk. They could've had their cake and eaten it too here while staying true to the late-stage capitalism mantra of having ALL the money.

They DID expose the truth AND they’re guaranteed $787.5M. Because Fox News settled, they cannot appeal the case if they lost at trial. They must pay Dominion. Fox’s emails, texts, and all their depositions are on record now. I’ll say it till I’m blue in the face, Jimmy Kimmel was wrong on this.

They wanted to expose Fox and get paid for damages. They got both. And they’re not finished yet. They’ve got lawsuits against Powell, Lindell, Giuliani, Newsmax and OANN too. This settlement by Fox will help bolster their other cases. Had this trial continued, Fox would appeal the decision anyway (if they’d lost) and it would drag on and on. Truth and Justice won the day. ✌🏼

The settlement means the judgement can’t be appealed and the $ amount can’t be reduced and should help win related suits. The lawyers said they’re going after individuals next. That will be interesting seeing Rudy and Mr Pillow in court defending themselves and whomever else.

Why? The settlement means that Fox/Murdoch can’t appeal the case if a jury found them guilty of defamation. Now they HAVE to pay Dominion. There’s no getting out of it. It also helps Dominion in their lawsuits against Powell, Lindell, and Giuliani. ✌🏼 Jimmy’s comment about Dominion was not very well thought out.

And Murdoch has plenty of money either way - no one other than Dominion cares if he "pays" or not. Our whole hope was to make Fox news admit, in court, in no uncertain terms, that they deliberately lied in an attempt to manipulate. So now, rather that taking a step toward reclaiming journalistic integrity for everyone, we instead just get to watch them go back to being overtly manipulative becasue they are rich, rich, rich. No. This is a disaster and I hope Dominion chokes on it.

People buy these things and they aren't even good photoshopped images, they look like something that came from the 90s. Take if from me, this is really basic stuff here. This is nothing you can't do on the most basic version of Photoshop, even then it's possible to do much better.

1:58 Yeah, that kid totally got himself into the corner of that 5 ft high fish tank by himself, and not only was he able to somehow climb up the vertical face and step in feet first, he did it without so much as making a splash. Good thing the parent just happened to decide to record a walkthrough of their home at the exact moment this happened, otherwise we would have never seen this extremely real moment along with the extremely real reaction of surprise.

It's rather that proving malice--loss of reputation due to FOX's deliberate maliciousness--is a very high legal bar to cross. The thinking from legal pundits is that the jury would have found in favor of Dominion, FOX would have immediately appealed to avoid paying a billion, and the appeals process would have lasted years and resulted in an eventual minute settlement.

Compared to how fighting it out just at the time of renegotiating cable contracts would have hurt this is a perfect win for Fox. This is the best they could have gotten under any circumstances and they got to. Now they will regroup and finally deliver the coup de grâce to that decaying society.

@@Schmidtelpunkt I very much doubt that. While they WILL continue to due harm to the USA, I doubt any sort of "Coup de grace" is on the horizon for them. They have only their most loyal base looking toward them, and even many of those eyes are starting to get tired of what they're constantly seeing. I doubt fox will ever truly die, but they certainly are loosing power. I just wish we didn't have to keep dealing with them.

It does hurt Fox. We’ve seen the texts, emails, and info from the depositions. Fox/Murdoch can’t appeal this either. Alex Jones, on the other hand, went to trial. Now he can, and is, appealing the judgment against him. ✌🏼
