@@Aliyaask not at all. It’s just simple physics, and the harmonics of the harmonic series and infinite. The only limit to how high you can play within that series is the strength of your chops and the speed of your air

I play in Stombi 1C, Good high notes are attaked like John Faddis does, I am not hard at all.

@@mmeegg1961 That's incredible! I can't play at all on a mouthpiece bigger than maybe a 7c. My first mouthpiece was an 11b4, so I've always liked tiny ones.

@@Capcoor the Bach 1C is a popular classical mouthpiece, high notes (or more specifically, endurance in the upper register) are very hard on it because it has a wide, deep cup.

i played trumpet for about 8 years,, and my comfortable range was the A above the staff and that was it. i feel like the really high screams are just ungodly shrill and painful.

The highest I've hit is a triple C. One time trying to squeak the notes out. I have video evidence. I matched with another Triple C video.

Whenever I first played the double c and notes about that, I used the false mechanic where you just have your lips together and squeak. I have since realized that is the wrong technique and can play them fine now: However, when it comes to the triple a and higher, it feels like its the same problems I had with the double a and higher. Could be the same problem, could be how it is played. If that is the way it is played, I have also hit a triple c I guess.

I see the therapy has improved things a tad; nevertheless, I am in agreement with your principal psychiatrist that you should return back to the higher dosages of both Risperdal and Geodon. With hope these will help tame your disorder for the time being until definitive brain surgery can be arranged.

You guys are a bit picky, but ok. I was never able to squeal. To me, getting the occasional Eb or F above staff was all I could get just shy of an annuerism - but I did pick off an Eb that some joker included in the exit music in a musical....I think it was Hello Dolly, and I couldn't believe somebody would write that in for the exit music.

I suspect hes using the old squeaky toy in the 3rd value slide trick. I suspect this because he covers up the values with his bell in the video.

No. those are real notes. Most squeaker toys won't go that high also. He also had all valves down at one point

this is absolutely amazing. I've played trumpet for almost a year now and the highest note i can hit is an E above high C. Keep in mind I play on a 7c and Mauricio probably plays on 3c or higher.

I've been playing trumpet for thirty years and on a good day I can get up to high Eb. I'm actually glad I can't hit those really high squeaky notes because then it's no longer music, it's a dog whistle or like the other person said, it's a frequency generator.

well you're right, I was just experiencing my relative possibilities, they're unused notes and sometimes in exeso it can hurt the mouth.

Marc van Cleave used to play quad high C on a b flat trumpet, if I remember correct. We are talking about almost 7.5 kHz fundamental frequency. The "e" in this video is barely above 4.7 kHz.

April Zavala I can hit D, Eb and F pretty consistently but specifically not E. not sure why. :(

You might be tensing up too much going from C to E. Most of the time when i first started i would really tense up and instead of relaxed air it was forced air as if i was trying for a Double G. Try going from Db with the second valve down and practice backing off from your mouthpiece as you go open to an E. :)

@@xRapidFire52x its note slotting. The E is a terrible slot. The same thing occurs with the double high A and sometimes Gb. Past double G nothing really slots, and the double E is just nasty.
