Finally...someone who understands editing. I was watching a build of this same kit and the person apparently thought I wanted to watch him sanding ad nauseum. He could have condensed that particular video from an hour to 10 or twelve minutes. Really professional quality documentation, sir.

Ich habe inzwischen schon diverse Interpretationen dieses Bausatzes gesehen und jeder hatte seine ganz eigenen Highlights. Ich finde Du hast Dir einen sehr spannenden Displayständer einfallen lassen. Absolut großartig hast Du das Bordleben in Szene gesetzt, das fühlt sich bei niemand anderem so natürlich an.

Great job Ted! It's now 05/21/22 & I will be purchasing my kit very soon. Have all tools, lighting kit. All I need is to get the paint colors. Perfect! How did you manage to achieve that wood grain in the torpedo section?

Woodgrain is easy. You paint the original base in light brown acrylic and let it dry. Once dry you use a dark brown oil paint and a stiff brush to make the wood grain streaks. It's how you make gun stocks, WW1 air frames and wood panelling etc etc. The downside to this is that the oil paints take 2 or 3 days to dry.

I took 3 and 5 mm LEDs! Pre-soldered with 12V resistors . I bought them on ebay !

Most figures are out of proportion like these. Heads are too big, eyes are bizarre, etc. The build is awesome but like most builds, the figures are distracting and detract from it and there's no way to fix them.
