@@hevendor958 Yes, it is too bad and that is a very old ship. Would be nice if they could fix it but that may be too costly. I don't know.

Thanks for the info. Actually someone else has mentioned this as well. Now I know that destroyers do not have catapult planes (even though they look like). I am planning to build something with PE set in the future. I love how PE look but boy they are a lot of work.

@@GeorgeModellingforBeginners yes, destroyers were too small to carry aircraft in WW2, you didn’t see catapult aircraft until light cruisers, but from then up they were pretty common. In regards to PE I understand completely. I have a 1/350 USS Missouri 1945 with complete PE set that I will be starting soon and looking at all the tiny parts is making me anxious haha.

Hi Cj. Thanks for the comment, really appreciated. Looks like you know a lot about the Sullivan. I did my research but I couldn't find good references. Anyway, it was my first ship build. The next one should be better.

@@GeorgeModellingforBeginners Ahoy George, your model is fine. you did a nice job building her, and the paint job looks clean. there was just those few items I mentioned. but other wise the kit is well done. I too have that kit only I modeled her in the 43 version. and the company totally messed up the depth charge racks they are not open like they modeled them they are in small racks like the stern racks.....So even manufactures get some things wrong. I have the plans for DD-537 as she was in 43 and 45 that is how I learned about her. Plus I am currently converting and upgrading my old Lindberg Blue Devil Destroyer into The Sullivan's also as she appeared in 43. I prefer to model them in the beginning of their careers.
