It makes zero sense not to prefer full arena runs, since you can just skip whatever you don't want to see. Also, Twitch streams are unedited so they're a pain to watch-there's a reason we watch these streams on KZfaq in the first place. This change only benefits the editor, who gets lazier and greedier by the upload.

Personally, I think the issue with not posting full arena runs is that it makes Trump look at a lot worse as a player. For example, in this video, of the five games shown, we see Trump win twice and lose three times. It's true that the win counter of course changes in the left corner, but not everyone will always notice that. Because of this, it makes it seem like Trump went 2-3, even though he actually managed to get ten wins. I get that it's important to show losses so that we can learn from Trump's mistakes, but I think it's selling him short if you edit out eight wins :/

probably their own fault for not noticing..... if you watched till the end there is a 10 wins sign before you unlock the chest.... if they don't pay attention to even that then you can pretty much ignore those people as those are clearly trolls.

I would prefer full arena runs. Trump is the only hearthstone player I watch and the only reason I watch him is because he is chill, calm and his sense of humor is very mild and passive. I absolutely love the vibe of his edited videos and it's sad that there are no longer full arenas for me to watch. Hope they are brought back!

Would it be possible for there to be different versions then, for those who want the full arena run, and those who just want a short version? For example, Jens could upload the full run for those who want the whole thing unedited, and perhaps a "highlights" version of just the key games so those who want a shortened version are happy. That's the best thing I can come up with to please both sides. Also, it would also be nice if Trump or Jens said something about the matter, if they haven't already, at least so we can acknowledge that we're being heard.

there are two reasons i watch trump play hearthstone a) he is a sympathetic guy with a great personality and humor b) the full arena runs. Sorry but without the second one its just another hearthstone channel, i can watch these clips everywhere. This was the only Channel with full arena runs and a sympathic person playing, trump i one of the few introverted youtubers watching is just relaxing. When you cut this videos into peaces its like destroying a painting, where every part, every comment, makes only sense when it comes all together.

At first I was like "even though I don't like it, I can see why this works, because the people who want quick versions will watch this, and the people who want full runs will take what they can get." But now I'm realizing, it actually loses a LOT not being able to "get to know" a deck and see all the ups and downs. I'll probably pass on future excerpted vids.

If you shuffle an Echo card into your deck it counts as a card, but disappears after you draw it (you can still play it that turn, but after you click end turn it goes away).

This is how I lost my first game in ToT arena, I was 8-0 and thinking "this guy's deck doesn't seem that good, he's doing well to be 8-0". Turn 4 4/5, turn 5 4/5 and two 8/8s lmao. I chuckled, said "Well Played" and conceded on the spot.

no the it will be unfrozen cause it says "when this minion leaves" it means if shuddewock is not in the battlefield the minion becomes unfrozen plus that's why it doesn't say "when this minion is killed" to not keep it frozen forever.

Jens, since there's clearly a vocal minority that want full arena runs (including myself) but you've found that statistically it's better to upload edited versions, a good option might be to make an alternative channel that uploads the full arena runs? It shouldn't take too much extra time since you won't have to edit the video you can basically import the VOD from twitch. Another option if you don't think it's worth making another channel is to upload the full runs as unlisted, and then have a link to the full run in the description of these edited videos, that way you'll still be getting the better revenue, but anyone who wants to see the whole run will have that option. :)

Hey, Jens, I don't know about you, buddy, but when I look through the comments, there's one main theme amongst what I see. I respect that you and Trump want to make the most money possible, but I'd be careful going for more money over what the fans and viewers want, if I were you. You'll find it's not long before the viewership drops on these videos because so many people are unhappy with them, and then you'll have even fewer viewers than before AND people will be unhappy with the channel and its content. That would be much worse than just *some* arena videos getting less views. Just my two cents.

Actually, you're completely wrong. What may have been completely obvious is that those videos were getting fewer views. It's never obvious whether or not something is definitively the best move until you try it, and perhaps that's what Jens and Trump are doing. Regardless, they can both see now that it was, in fact, the wrong move, as pretty much every top comment is asking for full arena runs back.

This editing is well done, but the formatting really doesn't suit arena. I love watching him faceroll with wacky decks as much as I love watching good competitive matches. I think this new format devalues the decks he crafts a lot by excluding wins. Just my 2¢, still love the videos!
