On the card it says attack an enemy. Slows target enemy. It doesn't say it has to hit the attack.

...personally, I think Trump's biggest flaw is he plays Brukan but doesn't ever bother to attempt a Chain Lightning at any point in these duels. I get it, the buff to nature damage is awesome. But when you have his lightning bolt getting delayed to like 17 speed and the opponent has 3 dudes each with 30+ health...if you ain't ripping a Chain Lightning through that team, there's something wrong in your head.

@@4ndytrout46 Well...I mean there are worse mercs I think. Like Mutanus is pretty bad. His starting attack stat for what that merc is trying to do is laughable. And I am not a huge fan of Xyrella. She can carry through a good portion of the PvE mode. But when it comes to PvP time, all of her abilities get out scaled extremely hard by other mercenaries. Oh Brightwing also exists. I forgot about them until I started writing this comment. Brightwing's AoE heal might be for a lot of health, but that doesn't really matter in a PvP format where players can do 80+ damage in a single round to a mercenary for OTKs.

You can say that about every merc he plays. Trump has a very bizzarre approach to Mercenaries, he seems to think every single Merc has only one good ability and just keeps spamming it over and over again, no matter what happens, and hopes to win.

I feel like you posting this now on a video from a stream almost a week old shows how out of touch you are with how this game really works. Buy 300 packs or buy 0 packs you're still grinding like a zombie to find mysterious stranger and unlock task 7. The game mode is dumb as hell and when you actually start doing PvP it's the same boring comps of the same OP heroes because there's barely any alternatives to choose from.

My PvE line up was Grom/Samuro/Rokara for vs blue or green, and Cairn/Bakuru/Guff with maxed taunt for red, Guff is always a megalith by the end of those

Xyrella and Samuro were overrated from the start. Everybody just jumped on a bandwagon, not realizing as soon as slow abilities are leveled their whole game plan goes to shit. So yeah broken day 1, useless now.

Is it me or are Blue characters just really strong? I don't play this format as I quit the game a year ago, but it seems like Blue is just really strong and Green is good because it's the only thing that can do a lot of damage to blue.

@@davidlee3107 Xyrella isn't even that good. The majority of the game is carried by casters, like nature and fire builds. Xyrella is really only good against attackers.

Yes, blue is strongest. It SHOULDN'T be, but the balancing is a bit messed up, so almost all Attack skills don't do enough to be good. So blue characters, who always have three non-Attack skills, are inhrerently more likely to be better.

Blues are good at aoe and burst but are easy to pick out since most don't have good defensive stats and abilities leave them vulnerable. I feel like greens are stronger since they focus on hitting and have abilities that let them survive and increase strength

like i love this gamemode a lot to kill time but... the way to grind has been nerfed and the greed is making it a bit sour feel they should have made pvp be maxed at 3 in everything and level 30 after u get level 15 (and u need level 15 on all mercs in the party to play) will have made it a lot better for pvp (and more players has god u cant get a game i am in 6-7k and only get a player 1 in 3-4 and that was from 20 matches today still love this build i need to check it out

@@somedudeontheinterwebs45 In all fairness the game is *not* designed to be enjoyed and explored by people who play just a few hours a day, that's why the gameplay is grind oriented, why the packs are so scant on value and why the coin totals needed for things are bloated. So you're encouraged to play a lot despite a lack of actual endgame or variety in gameplay, it's fair that people are already bored.

@@SomersBugtopia grind based games are meant to be checked on during work breaks or after work sessions, as most gachas are. Rewards exponentially decrease the more time you play after a certain point. Goals of maxing characters should take weeks or months for people who schedule a little bit of time to play each day. I know all of this cause I used to play a shit ton of gachas last year. It hasn't changed much much in HSM, just that it's a little less pay2win.

To all who say "this is so p2w: No, it actually is several times less p2w than constructed (still grindy AF if you want get good w/f2p fast). Not to defend Activision in any way, but in this mode grinding the f out of encounters you can get a legendary of your choice in several hours (if you are efficient with it). At the same time, you can be progressing your mercs with strangers. Now compare that to getting 1600 gold in constructed, you get about 400 xp/hr in ranked, now that is 120 hours of play straight. Agreed this mode is pure grind, but if what you want is getting all the shiny loot after couple of weeks of the release of new game, you sure are looking at the wrong company here.

Yeah it fucks me up so much how people hate this mode, when by their definition constructed would be way worse. "uuuh theres a grind in this mode" well atleast we get something out of it, especially since its mostly against offline content that people are already programming bots for lmao. Its like genshin impact where everybody cries "oh no its gacha, its horrible, your starved for characters" but after playing for a few months and grabbing every event they put out I had like 40-45% of the characters. Maybe not the one I really wanted, but at some point in their lives people have to realize that you cant have everything at once when your F2Ping

So if you are a type who likes to mindlessly farm same encounters, this is an extremely honest mode with next to no pay walls in it(mind the shiny skins, but f that matters anyways)

I dont know when I last played but I got abour 700gold a free deck and some cosmetic stuff just for being a returning player which paid for the stuff in Merc mode. Think the cut off is not having logged in for 120 days.

You 'quit', yet you are still here to trashtalk the game lol. Sad. Mercs isn't the main mode at Hearthstone, ranked isn't P2W and more time it passes, the better.

With the last video that i fully watched on this channel being 2 weeks old (last part of the free to play run) i will sadly unsubscribe. Mercenaries isn't really my thing and Arena is okay from time to time to skip through, but also not the main content i want to see, and its clear that you want to stay with this for the time being.
