That is making free body diagram of truss, determination of reaction forces and applying concept of equilibrium of joints to each joint of truss to determine unknown forces in truss members.

They should isolate the joint in a 3 body diagram and resolve according to each members directionally.

Had anybody measured stiffness of pipe with welded I-beam recently?

In what method of joining? I-beam is stronger than pipe in bending loads... that is why it is used in place of a truss where there isn't room for a full truss.

Exactly! Simply reading a script. Makes it hard to stay focused - likes she’s reading everything really phonetically. Like ESL.
