Ward Sister Cath is suspended due to whistle blowing about the treatment of the hospital's patients and subsequently takes on the identity of her friend, Alison Sutton who is an A&E Doctor who is shortly moving to New Zealand. Cath Hardacre is played by actress Jodie Whittaker who is soon to become the 13th Doctor in series 11 of BBC Sci-Fi show Doctor Who.
