I was insanely addicted to this to the point where I was waiting in front of home Depot in the morning waiting for it to open up. From 7-9 years of on and off using I developed heart congestions, intestinal hemorrhaging, nervousness, I've even had parts of my body swell up like a balloon . I've gone through hell because of this behemoth.

I used to be severely addicted to inhalants.. I have 3 heart conditions and several other issues, I'm not sure if it's related. But honestly it's not worth it. I had many other addictions, but this one was major for me (poverty) between the ages 16 - 18. Almost died the second last time I used it, passed out can in my mouth and I was lucky I didn't die. Please get help if you're addicted. If you're thinking of doing it, trust me: It's not worth it. I'm 23 years old now and I wish I'd never done it (along with many other things as well, but tbh this was one of the most regrettable ones).

Nitrous Oxide to be lumped in with these inhalants is simply not true. Yes you shouldn’t abuse Nitrous Oxide and you definitely shouldn’t inhale it from a whipped cream can, but the dental grade nitrous is a completely different thing then Inhaling gasoline, butane, or poppers.

Did it when i was a dumb kid, regret it as hell.. the thing is i wasen't even aware of the dangers of it nor what it actually was. I was like 11. It wasen't because of the drug effect or anything it was just stupidity and curiousity... don't try this, it will ruin your life. Worst thing i've ever done in my life.

This is actually reassuring to see all these mostly normal appearing people have gotten through it without any obvious brain damage. As someone who's used inhalants many times, it's nice to know im not alone

Let it be known that there is a way out. They make it sound like, once you do an inhalant you're dead or automatically and permanently forget things from the past and or can't remember anything going forward. If you have a problem and start doing it every day, get help.

Iv done it with air buster it’s a mint buzz all your body feels shaky but it ain’t shaking

With me, it was because of trauma - verbal abuse, bullying, relationship problems, etc.

I think these kids are just bored. They need some positive influence and something to do, what ever that it. They need a trade or something to get good at and make a positive influence to others. Find your peace.

I remember in middle school I used to do use the computer cleaner at least 3x a week. But one day I got stuck for like 5 min. all I remember was asking god please let me move and I’ll never do it again. Just like that I got unstuck and I never used that shit again. I don’t think it was god I believe it was my body telling me “do this shit one more time and I won’t respond”. That’s scarier than anything, fuck that it’s stupid upend reflection.

What helped you all quit? Asking bc my 23 yr old son is strung out on it right now 😭
